Re: JAPANESE PBEM OPPONENT WANTED

I currently have a PBEM with Spence. He's reliable and consistent when it comes to sending turns and you won't need many house rules with him either. Plus he'll give the Japanese a good show in the first year when a lot of other Allied players are running for India and Australia. Highly recommended.

RE: What is the point of the Nate Ki-79 available in 1945?

The KI-79 was a trainer aircraft, hence the two seater configuration. It was used as a kamikaze aircraft late in the war. In the game I agree that there isn't a practical use to build them outside of wanting to use up the Hitachi engines.

RE: Just wondering

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>I think this is incorrect (if I accurately understood the answer). The process in my own words:<br/>
<br/>
1) Japan player runs turn resolution for turn X. This step generates the replay file for the Allies player and the turn file for the next turn.<br/>
2) Japan player ...

RE: Quick question - Japanese prod

<t> My current PBEM game with PDU on has gotten into July '44 and I find myself constantly short on Ha-32 engines despite it being my most produced engine. Starting in '43 the monthly bill for the Ha-32 keeps going up as the Emily, Jack, Jill and Frances became available. I've moved away from the ...

Why isn't there a 'Cancel load troops'? I always do Cancel Load when I want a TF to move out that day.<br/>

RE: Dear MichaelM: Bugged Fast Transport TF?

<t> I was having the exact same problems Lokasenna is having in my own PBEM. Random fast transports TF's getting wiped out because they weren't unloading quick enough. Finally I had one survive and was able to take a look and I think I might have an idea on what's going on. Occasionally one ship in ...

<t> Here's a save with similar issues. Initiate attacks with units from 2nd, 11th, 16th, 18th Armies and 2nd, 3rd and 4th Panzer Armies.<br/>

I can produce much better air support by attaching all air bases to Luftflotte 2 but after trying that in a new game ground support is still spotty at ...

RE: Glide bombs attack

I've noticed it too. Fighter bombers used to glide bomb at 10-19k feet but not anymore. It's concerning because I trained a bunch of pilots in air skill and naval bombing to fly Nicks in my PBEM. Being restricted to level bombing I expect them to be close to&nbsp;useless now.

Zero group sweeping multiple times per turn

<r> Running beta Q8a, I've noticed something odd with a particular Zero group. It seems to be sweeping with every strike on PM. Done it for two turns in a row now. I thought it might have just been a display issue at first but the group scored a kill in two seperate strikes on the first turn. Any ...

RE: AKE - Yamato

<r> Ok, I know the manual says an AKE can't rearm Yamato's main guns. However, I know I did it in my PBEM and reproduced it again now. I originally rearmed her in stock 1106i and did it again before my last post in the beta. Either the manual is wrong, there's a bug or I am really missing something ...

RE: AKE - Yamato

<t> I remembered rearming Yamato with an AKE not too long ago in my PBEM game. I reloaded the turn and sure enough I did. Port size was 3 with no naval support and a Lima class AKE docked. Yamato did run out of ops points before it finished rearming so it takes a couple days but at least it can be ...

RE: TF Movement problem - no Cuttlefish or other cephalopods

<t> I believe your problem is that the destination is&nbsp;7 hexes away but the TF can only move 6 in one pulse. When set to retirement allowed, bombardment TFs will stand off until nightfall to bombard which is probably why they only moved 5 hexes. Try removing those slower ships from the TF and ...
