RE: Turn 56

Wow, the German armor just slicing and dicing. I don't see air drops. How in the world is he keeping the armor in supply?

RE: Turn 54

I'm disappointed, I've seen nothing happening in this game. Is it over or just on break? I was really hoping to follow this game from start to end for clues on playing both sides.

RE: Supply query

<t> To your first questions, combat units get supply and support from the HQ the unit is directly attached to. To the second questions, distance and mp's do effect supply, leader checks and support. A matter of fact, HQ's need to be adjacent to the combat unit for artillery support, I believe 3 ...

RE: Unexpected Held Results

<t> The problem is the Soviet ap’s are so precious, so in saying that the only two su’s I buy are sapper regiments and AA battalions and I assign 2 sapper and 1 AA to each corp. Boring, yes, but it seems the biggest bang for the buck.<br/>
In a perfect world what I would like to see support units ...

RE: Hmm... Combined Arms Army, Shock Army, Tank Army... ay-ay-ay...

Thanks, for the info. I guess I will have to rethink the use of guard units in shock armies, as I'm trying to get ready for the Axis summer offensive in 42.

RE: Hmm... Combined Arms Army, Shock Army, Tank Army... ay-ay-ay...

Just wondering, do shock armies have have a moral bonus? If shock armies have a moral bonus, then would I be better off assigning guard units or regular Russian units?

RE: Hotfix 1.07.13 (English version)

Thanks, for the quick response. I did not know you had to install all of the previous versions. I skipped 11 and went to 12. When I installed 11, then 12 with the hotfix, everything worked fine.

RE: Hotfix 1.07.13 (English version)

<t> Not sure if I upgraded or not. When I boot the game up the second screen in the upper left hand corner states: 1.07.12. On the main menu I have two lines in the bottom right hand corner.<br/>

RE: playing 2 versions of the game?

OK, I set up two different folders with two different short cuts. When I run the updates in one game both games end up with the same update. What am I doing wrong? Sorry, as you can tell by this post I'm not a computer jockey.

RE: Looking for

Brian,

I would be interested in playing. I don't bomb HQ's and I don't air drop para units. I'm not a fan a variable weather but I would be in if that's not negotiable.

Thanks,
Wes

RE: Soviets: Fortified Regions or brigades?

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>I think brigades are a better choice, exactly for the reasons you have stated. And you will be able to use them later, to form Rifle Corps in the most efficient way (getting half of a division for free), so no AP will be wasted that way. <br/>
