Treaties, how to include?

<t> Hello everybody!<br/>
<br/>
I am just starting a 1798-scenario (egyptian expedition).<br/>
<br/>
However, I cannot find a clue, how I can include the peace treaty between France and Austria that was made in force in 1798...<br/>

Which txt-files do I have to mod and/or include?<br ...

RE: Generals and Morale

<t> As far as I noticed, a general also affects morale of units directly. A corps-commander adds his morale-bonus to all units in his corps. Is this correct?<br/>
<br/>
If this is true, does a "national hero" affect units that are anywhere? Or just those units within national boundaries? Or just ...

Generals and Morale

<t> I have question:<br/>
<br/>
Do the boni of various leaders (generals that is) add up (stack)?<br/>
<br/>
If I have <br/>
<br/>
a national hero (4-stars general) with morale +1.00<br/>
an army general (3-stars general) with morale +1.00<br/>
a corps general (2-stars genera) with morale +1 ...

RE: Where are the Americans?

<t> Well, at last it seems, we did not read the same books...<br/>
<br/>
But at least, you are not very polite.<br/>

You may explain to me, why my reasoning, that a state that had but 5 million inhabtants (Spain and Portugal together had 10 millions, France alone had 28 ...

RE: Regional Bonus Units

<t> Well there is a bug with the Kingdom of Italy (KoI).<br/>
<br/>
The programers included Carniola in the list of protectorates you have to have.<br/>
<br/>
However, Venice does NOT controll Carniola. Therefore, you have to MOD the game to get the KoI! (Either include Carniola with Venice or ...

RE: Where are the Americans?

<t> Hundreds and hundreds of unescorted American merchants that should there for the taking and which would constitute a source of labor for Britain or a supply of food for France. Textiles all around. <br/>
<br/>
Well, sorry to disappoint you, but in 1800, the US had but 5 Million inhabitants ...

RE: Quick Difficulty Question

<t> Well, the difference is difficulty of play.<br/>
<br/>
The higher "difficulty" is set, the more stuff the AI get (men, food, horses, iron...). What is more, casualties in battles on your side increase with each level of difficulty.<br/>
<br/>
Standard means average losses, average resources ...

RE: Bonus Units / Regions

<r> Well, that explains a lot...<br/>
<br/>
Carniola is NOT Part of the region of Venice. Illyria is!<br/>
<br/>
Therefore, it is impossible to establish the KoI (Kingdom of Italy) as long as one does not change the regions (by modding some files), because you CANNOT convert Carniola to a ...

RE: Bonus Units / Regions

<t> Thank you!<br/>
<br/>
I have another question on the "Kingdom of Italy".<br/>
<br/>
I have not been able (playing France) to estabish the KoI in any game. According to the game manual, the KoI consist of <br/>
<br/>
"Veneto, Italy, Romagna and Lombardy"<br/>
<br/>
I suspect, that there ...

Well that´s all nice and fair.

But if SAXONY is mandatory for the CoTR, why is it not mentioned in the game manual (see appendix for bonus units/regions)???

RE: Bonus Units / Regions

<t> Well, to get bonus units for "Confederation of the Rhine" I had to convert provinces to protectorates (conquered provinces do not count!!!) as follows:<br/>
<br/>
- all of Bavaria (Munich, Augsburg, Upper Palatinate)<br/>
- Berg<br/>
- Badenia<br/>
- Wurttemburg<br/>

Bonus Units / Regions

<t> Is it just me or is there a bug with the bonus units?<br/>
<br/>
1.)<br/>
According to the game manual, the "Confederation of the Rhine" does NOT include SAXONY. However, I have to include SAXONY or I do not get bonus units.<br/>

2)<br/>
What is more, I have never been able (as ...

Stacks

<r> I think, the problem of stacks could be adressed by two things:<br/>
<br/>
<B><s></s>1.) Less supplies. <e></e></B><br/>
One could simply make a rule, that depots cannot raise supply by more than 50. <br/>
This would force players to keep their forces apart, but close to each other ...

Diplomats and Stuff

I have a technical question:
Is it possible to "kill off" diplomats in order to produce new (better) ones?
If so, how do I do this?

How can I build large ships (1st rate, 2nd rate)?
