RE: Korean War: PC games

Since the Korean War reflects World War 2 type action, could any of the Close Combat series be modified to address this conflict?

Civilization - from the first to the latest. Close Combat Series - especially like Cross of Iron. And last but not least and one that's getting a lot of attention is the Sim City series.

STALINGRAD: How the Red Army Triumphed by Michael Jones (Mar 2010)

Very good read so far and is dispelling some myths about the battle of Stalingrad.

RE: Women In the Infantry

<t> What will a modern army look like with women in combat roles, only time will tell. But women have served in combat roles already but weren't recognized as such. They should be treated no different than others, for ultimately they are soldiers who have taken the oath "to protect and defend". <br ...

RE: Should I buy?

<t> The developers have built the game pretty well. The same old bugs don't exist, although there is a legitimate concern on vehicle pathing. The vehicle sizes are appropriate now and "fit" to the maps, which by the way all are 32 bit. Previous CC games are 16 bit so modding from previous CC to ...

Air, Artillery and Mortar support can be assigned if available from the strategic map. You can assign support directly to a Battle Group or as an interdiction strike. For direct support, if available simply click the support from the strategic screen (lower left) and drag to the ...

RE: PitF Wish List Thread

<t> I agree on additional misc sounds in the game. As I recall CC2 had dos barking, birds chirping and even a cow moo every now and then. But more importantly misc sounds could be used to detect troops sneaking ( imagine birds flushed out as troops make their way through a field ). Sounds are ...

RE: PitF Wish List Thread

It would be nice to see ammo and fuel supplies before deployment. It is very disappointing to see your Panther stuck in a position where it can't participate in the battle.

RE: Game Crash - Unknown Error

Thanks again for the quick reply. Checked the antialiasing and anastrophic filters which were on in the NVIDIA control panel. I turned them off and will try to run the game through (TGC-140) to see if that works.
