RE: Game just ends.

Was cheated from taking Leningrad! Really want to see what I can do if I free up the Finns!

Game just ends.

Is there a way to continue playing when victory conditions are met? As the German, I was having great success, but would have liked to push for the Urals. Is this even possible? Thanks to any who have time to answer.

Thanks Trey. I intend to find out how far they will go when I have the opportunity.

There are so many interesting facets to explore in this game.

RE: Just a couple thoughts...

Anyone know if Leningrad is taken, do the Finns join in, advancing further into Russia?

Just a couple thoughts...

<t> Any chance for a campaign scenario variant where the Axis could attack the Soviets from the Middle-East? (Assuming an Axis victory in the Med) Or even a delayed Barbarrosa after a successful Operation Sealion? Or (dare I suggest) a scenario in which the Soviets attack first? <br/>

RE: AAR Jon vs Soviet AI 41

<t> To me, it will be very interesting to see how far I'd have to advance in the north and east, before attempting an offensive deep in the south. My main goal in 41' would be Leningrad, and to get as close to Moscow as possible and dig in. Try for a line down to Rostov.<br/>

Heinrich's 'Cross of Iron' was a great read, Stuart. I also enjoyed 'The Forgotten Soldier,' even if it was fiction. Really appreciate the other two recommendations---Hadn't heard of them. Thanks.

RE: East Front book talk

<t> I've only read one account of the air war, and that was called 'Stuka' or maybe 'Stuka Pilot' (can't remember for sure, too many years have passed), by Hans Ulrich Rudel. It was interesting. Claimed over 500 tank kills, and I think he sank a Soviet cruiser. He may have been (once again not sure ...

Any interest in Eastern Front fiction out there? Just curious. I am a writer, but I haven't branched out very far from Science Fiction or Horror yet.

RE: OKH Plan 1942 - Alpha AAR

Your argument has merit, jahn. Perhaps it would be easier to cut the rail supply further east of Leningrad, and gradually close an immense pocket around the city? I don't know if the front north of Moscow could be properly called a bulge---To me it is an immense jutting cliff!

Personally, I regard Leningrad as a major thorn in Pyledriver's side. That would be my next target.

I'm wondering where Guderian is? Is he available for a command at this time? Love to see a list of your commanders and their commands. Hope these aren't distracting questions.
