RE: Germany & Italy lose their capitals in early game stages

Of course, now that I'm trying to get this to happen, it stopped happening. I will keep trying though and will send in a save if I get it. I guess it's a win either way, I get to enjoy the game or I manage to reproduce the issue.

RE: Germany & Italy lose their capitals in early game stages

Thanks for the response. I assume you are able to reproduce the problem but if not I'm happy to turn on debug saves and try to get it to happen again - with my luck it should be pretty easy :)

Germany & Italy lose their capitals in early game stages

<r> This happened in separate games - the first one I didn't realize what happened, I just thought Italy was taking its sweet time to join Germans. Then at the end of 1941 I decided to check the forums, and it looks like this is the disappearing capital issue. <br/>
In the case of Italy I went back ...

RE: Can't place Italy new units?

<t> I have the same issue. I can't place the same two Italian units, and my Italy is also missing from the war map. In my game Italy hasn't joined the war yet either (July 8 41) and now I assume it never will because of the issue. Is there anything I can do to either fix my current game or avoid ...

RE: EF Box or no EF Box

<t> There's another potential problem with the EF box that may be subtle for MP games. Basically as a German player I can lose to Russians while stopping the WA human cold by pulling enough units to match the allied strength. While still technically a victory for the WA player, it probably robs the ...

RE: Transport and cargo losses?

Roughly (for infantry anyway), but attached support units can make it much bigger. Check the transport load number for the given unit and divide by 1000.

RE: game difficulty

<t> Overall I'd say the total level of micro is about the same as WitE. You'll want to do more micro in the air but there's much less micro on the ground. You can also put the air war on ai initially, but you will probably want to do more hands on management eventually. The good news is the air ...

Your suggestion may very well be the correct way to go. Then again, without knowing the details of their business process it might not. A high price tag can certainly be a turn off, no one is denying that, but a high price tag may be a necessity ...

RE: Pricing Hurting Sales?

<t> I don't live on social services, far from it. That doesn't change the fact that I make purchases based on the perceived value of the product. I would not spend $50 on a cup of coffee even though I could afford it. I also wouldn't spend $90 on a box that *may* contain a game I like.<br/>

<t> Add me to the group of people who would be potentially interested but are turned off by the price. Not only that - I remember that this is not the first time I've heard DW is awesome and worth looking into and yet every time I come to see how much it is it's the same story. No way I'm gambling ...

RE: No demo & no discounts on old titles == no sale

Thank you. How similar are the old demos to the new series in terms of gameplay mechanics? Is this mostly just a graphics update or are there bigger changes?

No demo & no discounts on old titles == no sale

<t> I don't mean that as a flame. Just trying to give honest feedback from the part of the audience that doesn't feel invited by Matrix Games. I've bought and played a number of strategy titles, some of them from Matrix. I'd love to try out one of the recent Close Combat titles, doesn't have to be ...
