Hans, thanks for the tips. Trying to work out the strafing role in combat and you've been a great help.

RE: Fighter & Attack Bomber Altitudes

<t> Do you use them in a strafing role too, against shipping. Or just low level bombing. It's my understanding that the Wirraways were also useful in low level bombing attacks against IJ shipping. <br/>

RE: Theater Leaders

In reviewing the several Leadership charts, I'm surprised to find that 'Aggression' has no effect other than defining 'Front Line' and 'Rear Area' leaders, at the Regiment/Brigade/Division level.

RE: Fighter & Attack Bomber Altitudes

By attack bombers I meant single engine types, like Wirraway and any dive bombers
It's nice to know the P39's are usefull in the bombing role. The Russians used them successfully in the ground attack role.

Fighter & Attack Bomber Altitudes

<t> If I want a fighter sqdrn assigned as a bomber escort to srafe, how do I assign the mission altitude; at escort altitude or strafe altitude? Or maybe I want an attack bomber sqdn to strafe after it completes its run, how do I assign the altitude? In all cases, assuming the sqadrons are strafe ...

<t> I'm playing Allies....does Nimitz got the job via the AI! Is That what your saying?<br/>
Re Percival.......very bad stats! My logic, assuming a game against the IJ AI and following a more or less 'historical' play; and not reinforcing Singers (they go to northern India for a future Burma ...

Is it worth the 150 PP to replace Percival in Singers? Should I do this ASAP?
Does replacing Kimmel with Nimitz make much of a difference at PH?

IJA info?

Generally........
How many men in an IJ Infantry Division?
How long does it take an IJA Div. to recover from 50% AV loss?
In my latest game (Dec 8 Scenario) the IJA has about 80k casualties by Jan 29, '42. Is that significant?

RE: Aussie 22nd and 27th Brigades

<t> CR, I'm playing the AI, and I expect it to play out on somewhat 'historical' lines. I'm playing the Dec 8th scenario because it gives me the Repulse and POW intact, allowing me to weild an offensive punch. (Not into mods, although 'Da Babes' appears interesting.)<br/>

RE: Need advice/links for noob playing allies.. please

I would think that NAV skill increases with the commanders experience. At least I hope so. I would als think Commanders with high NAV skill are less prone to ASW attack, but I can't prove it.
