RE: Serious on purchasing. Some thoughts?

<t> Bought it recently.<br/>
<br/>
Love it.<br/>
<br/>
I actually played WITP for about 100 hours. Like this much better--start with the small tutorial scenarios and work up. This has the under-the-engine Grog complexity, but one can actually forget that, left click on a unit, right click it to ...

RE: Newbie--happy. Road to Minsk

<t> Case Blue is just what I had decided to do! It looks as though there is some defensive in depth, and more challenging.<br/>
<br/>
I have read the BootCamp. But, again, low number of turn scenarios is where I want to start. Seems as though there are a few in the expansion packs.<br/>

As ...

How about any of the Don to the Danube, Lost Battles scenarios, to take it even at a slower pace.

Newbie--happy. Road to Minsk

<t> I would like to mention that this game has one of the best series of intro scenarios that I have seen--for this type of game.<br/>
<br/>
"Valkie" is the training wheels--work on it until one does well on normal.<br/>
<br/>
Then "Road to Minsk", which shows how breathtaking the movement of ...

RE: Tutorial VP calculation-- ? problem

Thank you, that is what it appears.

That gives a boost for the losing player, all else considered. If both the players get "double points", it will be harder for the winning player to get 2:1, 3:1, etc odds.

WAD?

Tutorial VP calculation-- ? problem

<t> The Velkie Luki tutorial--marvelous. Just the right intro for such a complex game.<br/>
<br/>
But when it came to VP calculations, it seemed as though the ET for some cities was incorrect. (I am not clever enough to post screen shots)<br/>

AirBase question

<t> First, great game. You experienced players probably envy me starting the game for the first time--I don't know the AI and other weaknesses. It just looks great to me.<br/>
<br/>
Question: I move my airbase (and I see that WITW has gone back to fixed AB), what does that mean for my planes on ...

Unable to find PW data!!!

<t> Ok, I tried this question a month or so ago. No solution. Re-did everything tonight, with the same result. The problem is:<br/>
<br/>
I shifted from an xp computer to a Windows 7 computer. I re-downloaded the game, put in my code when asked for.<br/>
<br/>
Install. The game does not install ...

RE: You know you're ready for PBEM when.....

<t> Here I am commenting in the forum when I can't even play the game at this point. (changed computers--can't get the P-something file to be found).<br/>
<br/>
My impression is that if one plays the computer, playing Japan is best. It is hard for the AI to be too incompetent as the Allies in 1942 ...

RE: New computer. New problem PW

Nope. Still "Unable to find PW data"--even using my enclosured hard drive from my previous computer and copying all the files.

What is "PW data", anyway?

I did initially down-load it from on-line.

RE: New computer. New problem PW

<t> I re-installed WITP AE from Matrix.<br/>
<br/>
Then I was going to pull the save from the old computer to the new. <br/>
<br/>
The question is this: Once one buys WITP AE, can one down-load it more than once, using the serial number each time? <br/>
<br/>
Or, is this a Windows 7 issue?<br ...

New computer. New problem PW

<t> So, I just purchased a new fast computer.<br/>
<br/>
I have WITP AE on my old computer, downloaded.<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
I download WITP AE, and use my previous serial number.<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
And then I get "Unable to find PW data!!!" [Really, 3 exclamation points]<br/>

RE: This is truly an amazing game!!!

<t> I agree with the OP.&nbsp; It is hard to have something this complex and still "work".&nbsp; I came over from HOI3, also, and Harpoon III.&nbsp; My only regret is that I have to choose between this and trying to master EU3 (can't do both).<br/>
