GalCiv 2 AI designed the latest ships.

GalCiv ship design is so stupid it may as well not exist. So of course AI has no problems with it.

I hope it's possible to hotfix it somehow. I don't want to play if there is a 100% freeze in the middle of the game. I mean, yeah, it's beta patch for a reason but it's not fun anyway.

Also, without construction ships there is not enough mining stations so resource prices go up. If resource prices go up, upkeep goes up as well.

Civ 4, HoI 3, SE V opened parts of the source code for modders and it's not like someone stolen it or something. I guess it's a lot of work to release it for modders if you didn't plan to ...
