RE: YAWAWRG (yet another waw revised game)

<r> Game still going, took about a month break.<br/>

No good news from the Eastern front.<br/>
<br/>
It's October of 1942. Leningrad is cutoff and will certainly fall this month. We've been beaten back from our defensive line NE of Novgorod, and are now falling back toward Murmansk in an ...

<t> This game is still going, we're up to October of '42 now. I'll be posting an AAR of 1942 Summer in a few weeks.<br/>

RE: Fitr In the East scenario

If the partisans could appear with like, 10 turns worth of supply, that would make things more interesting. Partisans should not be limited by the same supply constraints that regular army is. That and perhaps an AT gun and a horse on (rare) occasion.

RE: AT Gold Suggestions

I would think day/night could be modeled with the same mechanics used for seasons if you wanted. However, I'm not sure if you could do both Day/Night and seasons - it may not be capable of tracking two distinct periods at the same time like that.

RE: AT2 Wishlist

<t> I'm reviving this thread, since I think AT Gold is probably too far along in development for additional feature requests.<br/>
<br/>
1) In addition to the already existing ability to hide/show all units on the map, buttons to show only Air/Land/Naval/HQ units. With scenarios getting bigger and ...

RE: Does Hq influence landing battle?

Interesting... well, this would imply that best practices are to land your HQ unit on the same turn as your invasion, in a nearby undefended hex. This would however hang your HQ out to dry if the landing ends up unsuccessful.

I'd be willing to play another game, my other ones are moving pretty slow at the moment. Any side OK.

RE: Does Hq influence landing battle?

<t> Actually, I would guess that the HQ does not apply to the landing unit - however that's just me guessing how the engine works.<br/>
<br/>
There's several cases I can think of:<br/>
<br/>
1) HQ out of range - obviously bonus not applied<br/>
2) HQ within range but also in landing craft when ...

RE: WAW serial - few toughts

<t> So that would entail taking those two stacks of tanks and splitting the SFTs up amongst the infantry divisions on the front line. That sounds about right according to histories I've read. Or perhaps a few mechanized corps - but the majority of the armor should still be limited to the movement ...

<r> Just finished June of 1942.<br/>

Simply staggering amounts of equipment are being lost on both sides in Russia. DRommel must have 30+ arty units up near Leningrad - he can basically erase one hex per turn with just artillery. I don't want to see what happens when he turns his attention ...

RE: WAW serial - few toughts

<t> Wow... yeah, I suppose that is all due to the 150% 1st turn combat bonus GE gets if attacking before 1941. With that kind of bonus you could probably drop a 40 strength paratrooper unit onto a Soviet Light TankII stack and wipe it out. That is completely ridiculous.<br/>
<br/>
I suppose the ...

<t> I wouldn't say I've committed "Significant" resources in Mongolia, at first I just threw whatever I had in Nomohan against the resource at Mukden to buy 1-2 turns for the garrison at Vladivostok to dig in. Me too lol, cveta seems to have Axis playing down to a science. I expect some very crafty and gutsy moves from him. However it may be that we can find a weakness if he over-exerts his forces.

RE: WAW serial - few toughts

<t> Since the game engine won't allow sea units to intercept enemy units, England's ability to defend against Sealion is severely hampered. To counter this I would agree that england needs a little help. I would suggest adding "City Garrison" SFTs in London and Manchester, perhaps a 50 stack (or ...
