RE: Need some help

<t> I've been there before. I love the game, but it's scale can be daunting. On the other hand, there really isn't another game like it, so once you find the time and discipline it can be an amazing experience. I recommend starting with one of the smaller scenarios or the 1st Panzer Army campaign ...

Well if you look at the editors for Barbarossa you'll see theyre much more friendly than the original editor in the first two DC games, although it(the full editor) is included.<br/>
I also lobbied (unsuccessfully) to have him retrofit ...

DC : Community Project Editor

I remember reading about Vic making a very user friendly editor. I was under the impression it was coming with Barbarossa. Anyone hear about this? I also wonder if it could be used to mod Barbarossa - that way it would make it easier to fix certain OOBs some are complaining about.

<t> I'm loving it, but then all of us DC owners knew it was going to be good game. All I can say is that wargamers should feel lucky that we have Vic making these unique games.<br/>

RE: The Campaign Series: Middle East 1948-1985 announced!

Please, please update the graphics. Instead of using 10 year old assets, just take some extra time and add sharp and clear looking unit graphics. That would go a long way to make this game really stand out!

Vic, can you give us a hint of when we can expect DC3? I'm itching to play something new and Eastern Front focused. Thanks!

With June 6th almost here, I would think that this date would be appropriate to at least answer my question if it can't be released.

RE: Air Operations

<t> I hope I understand you correctly. After selecting an enemy/hex, I then hit "List" which opens a window with all your available air units. You can hover over a unit and a tooltip will pop up with the following info: Group type, Plane type & unit size, and unit readiness. Under each unit tells ...

New Landscape Types

<t> Victor, after seeing your tweet about new landscape types for the Community Project, I wonder if it would be at all possible to update the Case Blue map with these new assets in a Patch. Although, there are many excellent map mods, it would be nice to see an updated map that matches the same ...

What's going on?

<t> In January of 2014 Steve wrote that it wouldn't be released the first quarter of 2014, but "definitely this year." Surely it must be completed by now and release has been put on hold, waiting for a certain strategic date to be released? I hate to sound negative, but what's going on with this ...

RE: DC3 Blog post

<t> I agree with Wodin & Mannerheim on this one. What I like about the last two DC games is the scale. Small units that race to capture, hold or blow a bridge, and take specific villages, ect. Terrain also makes more of an impact. The small scale combined with the roll playing elements the cards ...

RE: Army group Don

1) you can use a "Personnel" card on a HQ to help it perform better.

2) Army Group Don and Army Group A & B are not modeled in the game, but you can make new HQs. You can mod them into a game as well. By the way, RedMark is working on a Winter Storm scenario.

German Engineer Soft defense wrong

<t> Vic, I actually discovered this while using the editor to change the combat detail stats and Logo values of some units for a mod. The German engineer unit currently has a soft defense value of 8, but in the editor I noticed that you gave it a vaule of 16 under the Combat Base Value section.<br ...

RE: 45mm AT vs 50mm PAK 38

I agree 100%. Since you brought up the subject of AT guns, the same can be said about the Soviet 76mm AT vs the Pak 40 75mm AT. I was under the impression that the Pak 40 was the superior weapon, but the stats for the 76mm are one point better in hard attack/hard defense...
