Which game is this?

<r> Reading some old articles, I stumbled upon this screenshot. It looks interesting and awfully familiar, but I cannot remember/find out which game this is. It looks like something from Talonsoft? But I only remember WW2 games by them. Which game is it? Is this a mod or scenario? Is it any good?<br...

RE: No break on upgrades?

I like that change a lot as well. It forces you to have lots of different equipment instead of just state-of-the-art equipment, which simply feels nicer.

RE: Holding out for the Demo

If you liked PG, buy it.
If you liked PG2, buy it.
If you liked PGF, buy it.
If you have never played any of the above, download PGForever (it is free and was programmed by the lead programmer for PC). Then go buy PC.

<r> haha you know what I had that hunch for about a year... <br/> I came so accustomed with the screaming sound that I thought it was real<br/> later, I learned that all sound in the German "Wochenschau" newsreels was added after the filming had been done<br/> <br/> a bit later even more, I found vi...

RE: I'm Impressed, and 10 Reasons Why

<r> Have to say that I love the game. <br/> I was so grateful for PG Forever and I think it is great that Rudankor got the chance to make this into a full commercial product.<br/> <br/> It feels incredibly polished. The changes introduced seem sensible without changing the things that made the origi...

RE: Gameplay question

<t> I can understand the concept of selling expansion packs. Everyone has to make a living and what we have here is a very, very polished game that carefully introduced new rules while sticking very closely to the original. And there we had a separate Allied General as well. <br/> <br/> One big requ...

RE: Reviews and Impressions?

<t> I have to say that this is one of the changes I really like. So far I like them all I think. It makes a lot of sense, too: You can always have full-strength units, but they are just being replaced by conscripts. If you have had heavy losses, your units will suffer in experience. Unless you have ...

RE: It's OUT, It's OUT, It's OUT,

just purchased, download speed is a bit disappointing, 200kb/sec instead of the 2 Mbit I could have. Not really complaining, though I would like to play around a bit before going to bed (Europe here...)

<r> I am relatively new to this forum and I think my biggest contribution so far were two critical posts <E>:-)</E> <br/> <br/> Yet I always feel the need to jump threads like this one and say<br/> a) The game is very, very polished out of the box. RE: Soviet Production a bit too much / Major Game play issue?

<t> Please don't turn this into another Sherman vs T-34 debate...<br/> <br/> What I am getting at is: In what way are you supposed to win damage the Soviet war effort as the Axis? Where is the Achilles heel of the Soviets? It sure is not production, as one can see by my example. Even if you capture ...

RE: Soviet Production a bit too much / Major Game play issue?

<t> @Helpless: But they probably didn't have all those tanks in the field, did they? When I opened the 1944 scenario in WITE, the Soviets have 11,300 tanks in the field. <br/> <br/> If Alfonso is right that the SU produced 24,500 tanks in 1942, than I actually gained something by taking ground? Soviet Production a bit too much / Major Game play issue?

<t> I am no expert on Soviet production numbers, but what I am experiencing right now seems a bit far fetched to me, but maybe I am off here:<br/> <br/> I am in a German GC 41, it is now December 1942 and I occupy 272 victory points, I have taken a line from Leningrad to Moscow (almost to Gorki), Sa...

RE: Ongoing debate on value for $

<t> I think the game has issues, be it with airforces or the underpowered Axis forces of 1942.<br/> <br/> Threw in the towel with the first Axis campaign after ~ 20 turns, not doing so well. Read a lot in the forum, tried again. Am now in turn 66 on normal and I think I am winning (Leningrad fell De...
