Holding out for the Demo

Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

Holding out for the Demo

Post by ChristianH71 »

I couldn't find confirmation one way or the other if there is going to be a Demo but I hope so. The game looks great and judging from the feedback is well received but I can't really justify spending $40 without trying it out first.

Been disappointed too many times in the past with PC game purchases that weren't quite what I expected.

So, here is to hoping that a Demo will be released!

Just download Panzer General Forever then it's basically the same thing without all the polish and a scenario editor.
I am picky with buying stuff as well, but I knew this one was going to be good and it's worth even more than $40 if I had to pay more.

We don't have any plans for a demo right now I'm afraid. We'd love to have one but resources are very limited and there is so much to do.

If you liked PG, buy it.
If you liked PG2, buy it.
If you liked PGF, buy it.
If you have never played any of the above, download PGForever (it is free and was programmed by the lead programmer for PC). Then go buy PC.

Allright. After a week of playing PG Forever and reading a gazillion reviews I bought it tonight. I have just been playing the first 3 tutorial missions (well done) but darn is it addictive. I have to get up early tomorrow and have to force myself to go to bed. Totally lost track of time. Just...... one..... more..... turn!

First impression: VERY well done! Old school but I love it so far.

Old school is what it is supposed to be.

For most games I do prefer a demo before purchase. With Panzer Corp you really do not need it. The games is elegant, but it is also huge fun and a real challenge. The game is worth more than it is being sold for.
