Doesn't help. I made in WW1 the westfront, it autosaved - and minutes later the error occured. Annoying.

Hi! The Blue Max Mod seems to work fine! I didn't yet reach stoormtroppers and later game arty, but till now everything is fine. Only problem I found is problems with the german translation, which interferes with the mod, but other then that everything works fine!

May I ask where I can find the latest version? On page one of this thread there only is a link to 6.8. (I got the 7.0 version link by a friend). And is it enough to replace only the cgn file to have the latest version or should I reinstall the whole mod?

Icarus Mod as upgrade to Vanilla

Dear fellow wargamers,

I just tried the Icarus MOD and I'm really impressed. It's more detail and feels more realistic. Sadly my first match didn't go for long, but my first impression is like: hey, the game got an upgrade :lol:
Really can recommend it!

Hi Strombringer,

did you download the cgn-file and place it into the campaigns-folder? If you don't do that, the icarus-mod is not found when you start the game.

any help is appreciated


Can you post an image of where in the relevant folder you have placed the content?

Also, what do you mean by local mode ...

Hi cfant - unfortunately, any patch will only apply to new matches. Your current game will operate with the settings that were in place when you started it. If you DM me, I can suggest some house rules that you and your opponent could agree to that would achieve many of the effects of this patch ...

On page 29, the mod-desciption says (about regaining NM-losses):

Austria-Hungary: Bruneck, Bucharest, Klagenfurt, Pola, Trento, Trieste

Do you mean Budapest? Bukarest was no Austrian city, but the Rumanian capital?

With Austria I don't expect to hold much. It's my position on turn 1 to buy one turn time for the corps in Lemberg to dig and wait for an HQ. So Lemberg can resist a few turns. No problem, if Austria has to retreat into the Carpathians. But still it need troops to cover the front.

Thanks for your answer. I'm only speaking of the first two turns - I always need the cav to protect e.g. Przemysl, when I send 2nd army to Serbia. You can't hold Lemberg, but without the cav I have to few troops to keep A-H afloat. But I'm not a pro. Would be interesting to see a match between you ...

May I ask you: In your blitz you make use of the A-H cavalry. Is your Serbian blitz fine, if the Germans attack in the west? Wouldn't the A-H cavalry be missed in Galicia, which is under immense pressure by the Russians?

I'm intermediate with some experience (crush new players, get crushed by pro players ;)). I'd be open to a match. Turn rate: I'm from Europe, can deliver turns most days, but not on weekends.
I'd prefer CP, as I have another match going on, where I play the Entente.
