Re: pbm games

Thanks for the "R" tip. I've read the manual through a couple of times but never noted that hotkey. It totally works.

I tend to agree that most players here probably won't bother gaming the game. It's good to know you have a server-side insight though.

pbm games

I believe there are 2 flaws in V&V. 1. There is no opposing player playback in pbm games. By that I mean that there is no way to see what your opponent's actions were during the prior phase. In small simple games it's easily divined. But in larger scenarios it's often confusing as to how you los...

I owe an apology to the community

I feel that I owe an apology to the community here regarding a post I made last week. I apologize because it was unwarranted. My overly harsh words and comments regarding aspects of the tournament were unjustified and wrong. Honestly, I was a bit "in my cups" and while excited to be in my ...

Lotta bugs in this game still

Rather than release new modules ala cholm... I would prefer you guys work out the anomalies in this game. There are some bugs here for sure - such as instances where German valor is not an aid but a detriment.. which makes no sense. The other huge thing would be to have some playback mechanism for p...

Successful Second Time Around Game Bug: ATR goes into endless firing loop

I've started this scenario twice but have never finished a battle because a unit goes into an endless loop during their fire phase. To replicate this: Play as the Axis. During the Advance and Assault phase on your first turn, move the armored column up by 1 hex for each vehicle. You only have one ch...

Valor & Victory MultiPlayer Game - No Action Button Ever

Can anyone help me? Everytime I accept or host a match and it gets accepted in multiplayer, the game will refuse to load any multiplayer matches. More accurately - I never see any kind of action button on the multiplayer UI that allows me to fire up the battle when it's my play. I am in the latest t...

Help! In tournament - not sure if multiplayer is working right

I'm not confident multiplayer actually works for me in this game - can anyone help me or give me some insight into possibly why? In the past I've hosted and numerous scenarios, have had them accepted but I've never seen an action button for any of them such that I can input my moves when it's my tur...

Re: RE: Wishlist

Hi, is there a way to see for an hex what are on the hexsides ? Good day Not yet, but it will be available in CSME 3.0 In CSVietnam, you can call up a highlight of all the hex border modifier values... which helps determine what's going on with those. But in CSME I don't think that was available ye...

Re: Wishlist

I really enjoy the multi-battle campaign aspects of this series - where you have a unit and you go through a whole set of battles together. I noticed it was missing from Vietnam. I really enjoyed playing through that in CSME. I also want to say thanks for all the added UI creature comforts you guys ...

Re: 121st Battalion Campaign recurring crash 2 desktop

Oh shoot... I finally gave up and just deleted all that to play the "On the Jordan" Campaign. So far that one is going pretty solid no crashes and I'm 3 battles in. It's a super cool campaign too so I'm keen to see how it all ends^^ I'm sure I'll revisit the 121st soon - it's an interestin...

Yes many advantages to being on Mac OS.

#1 for me: No incoming Family Tech Support Issues with PCs - I freakin love it.

121st Battalion Campaign recurring crash 2 desktop

I'm currently on part 3 "Checking the Advance" in the 121st Battalion Campaign. When I select Scenario it tries to load the main game program for the next battle but after a brief moment it crashes to the desktop. There doesn't appear a way around this blockage. *The same thing also occurr...

Re: FYI: You can play this on MacOS

And definitely if you do this - clean out your PC install... You'll be amazed at the amount of junk they load Into commercial OS's (or maybe not). This is a war-game only image - so you can chop that shit down to just like 20 GB for the base OS plus games. It's satisfying to kill them off too - I su...

Re: FYI: You can play this on MacOS - Footnotes

If you decided to get Parallels for this purpose though - I'd say definitely get the One-Time License vs the Subscription. I have a freakin iMac Pro , bought a Parallels sub, and it still limited me to 4 processors and 8 GB of assignable RAM for my PC virtual machine. That's basically what you get w...

FYI: You can play this on MacOS

Just wanted to drop a quick note for all the many Mac OS historical war-game fans out there: I've played this game entirely on Mac OS Catalina using Parallels and it runs great. *For the tech "savvies": Parallels is basically just a Virtual Machine management program like VMWare or a host ...

Thx!

I really like this game :)

A solid, promising new entry in a relatively niche area of wargaming.

I like that they have tournaments too - ill be in on the next one for sure.

Re: Any try on mac with wine or crossover

Just an FYI: I've been running all my favorite PC only war-games on Macs lately using Parallels and it works freakin great. So much so that I finally ditched my old PC (2D wargaming was the only reason I kept it around). The nice thing is, I can use that VM on my other Macs as well, as long as I hav...
