RE: Axis, go for Chelyabinsk :D!

<t> Wow! What is the date? Am just about finishing my first AI game as the axis and thought I'd done pretty well getting to the line of Rybinsk-Ryazan-Voronez-Voroshilovgrad-Rostov. Perhaps I wasnt ruthless enough with my units (currently around 92% strength on average). Dam soviet units seem to ...

What is the best German Fighter?

<t> I'm in a game against the AI and its July 1944. Based on Manouvre values, the Me109K looks the best but I only recieved 12 of them. The FW190D looks good of course, whilst the Me109G-14 isnt too shabby. My question though is; is the Me262 any good given that its Manouvre value is only 32? (I ...

Are they still frozen? I can disband Finns at the start of the 42 scenario when they aren't units that will withdraw, aren't in static mode, and are far enough from the enemy (more than 3 hexes).

I cant select any Finnish unit for Disbanding or Assigning. Can anyone confirm that the Finns operate under different rules?

Finnish Units - No Disband or Assign Options?

<t> Do the Finnish units operate by different rules to the other axis allies? I dont seem to have the Disband or Assign buttons available for use. My poor old Finnish divisions and brigades are at ~80% strength whilst I have a horde of various battalions floating around in my HQs.<br/>

Check to see if your AG HQ's are set to Locked. If they are then they won't transfer construction units out to other HQ's. See 7.6.3.3 for details.

Nope all set to Support 0 - not locked

Use of Construction Units

<t> I havent spotted anything in threads on this but what do all of those Construction units sat in the German AG HQs do?<br/>

I'm at Dec 1942 and each HQ has about 12-15 construction units, which even with a support level of 0, dont seem to want to be deployed to lower HQs. Are they ...

How do you capture cities like Sevastapol?

<t> I havent played since before christmas but in my last game against the AI, in 1942 I wasnt able to capture hexes in cities that were in supply. Army and Army Group HQs

I've been reading the war room and get the impression that the Army and Army Group HQs for the germans are surperfluous? (ie can be sidelined) What is the use of these HQs? Why not set them to no support and put in weak leaders, and load up the corp HQs instead?

How to Survive First Winter as the Germans?

<t> Hi All,<br/>

How do you set up a Deliberate Attack?

I've just started my first game and have gone through the manual and cannot find how to set up a Deliberate Attack. Hasty Attacks are easy - just right mouse click. I tried a forum search on this and couldnt find anything.

Would appreciate the help.
Cheers,

Neil
