RE: German Opponent Wanted 1941-1945 GC

I am not one to say which rules are most balanced. However, some of the currently running AARs may provide a good starting point for determining what is considered to be balanced.

New to game

<t> I have just recently begun playing Pacwar and I am a bit overwhelmed. What is the best way to go about learning this game?<br/>
<br/>
I have gone through the tutorial twice now and getting a hang of basic tasks, but as far what I am supposed to be doing, how to know what I am supposed to be ...

RE: AGS alternate/historical opening (or not using the Lvov gambit)

<t> @Klydon:<br/>
<br/>
Hey, I'm just trying to have fun. The Lvov pocket isn't fun for me; not necessarily because it isn't historical (but partly) but I suppose because I hate being forced to do a certain move/gambit, etc. to stay competitive. So if I can find a compromise of sorts, than I am ...

RE: AGS alternate/historical opening (or not using the Lvov gambit)

To be more clear, I'm not necessarily looking for a purely historical opening turn for AGS. I guess I'm looking for a middle ground between historical and competitive.

In other words, is there a viable opening move in the south aside from the Lvov Gambit?

RE: Sending Aircraft to the National Reserve

That's how I've been doing it (using the Commander's report, not sending aircraft to reserve), but I was hoping there was a simpler way. I do wish the interface was a bit more intuitive, especially when it comes to the commander's report.

Thanks.

RE: Sending Aircraft to the National Reserve

How do you select units in the Commander's Report?

EDIT: What I mean is, how do I select specific units from the Commander's Report list and send them to reserve without sending others in the list?

RE: Sending Aircraft to the National Reserve

Ok, I must have been trying to send aircraft that had already flown or moved. Thanks!

Sending Aircraft to the National Reserve

This might be a stupid question: How do I send aircraft to the national reserve?

AGS alternate/historical opening (or not using the Lvov gambit)

In an effort to avoid using the Lvov pocket/gambit opening, I am curious as to how others play out AGS turn one?

Soviet opponent wanted GC 41-45 [CLOSED]

Looking for a Soviet opponent. 1-2 turns a week realistically. I have played the AI only and so would consider myself to be beginner to the lowest end of intermediate. PM if interested.

RE: looking for a german opponet for 41 campaign

I can get 1-2 turns a week realistically, sometimes less. I am a beginner, have only played the computer mostly as axis. Not sure if I would present much of a challenge. Are you still interested?

RE: How to turn off Intro

Ok, I think I figured it out with help from PDH. Looks like if you rename the Video file the intro movie is out--although, this also likely causes the end of game videos to cease as well...oh well, not a total loss.
Thanks!

How to turn off Intro

Some while back a post on these forums instructed how to turn off the intro movies to WitE. I recently reinstalled the game due to computer issues and forgot how to do this. Anyone remember or point me to the thread?

RE: Why Nazi Germany invaded Soviet Union?

<t> Not sure how that'd be copyright violation. Scholars, students, and writers quote and cite other people's works all the time--as long as you cite the work used, there shouldn't be a problem. Photocopying the page directly is no different than typing it out by hand as far as I can figure. Unless ...

Need Soviet Opponent - First PBEM '41 - Closed

I have played enough against the AI to warrant a try against a human.

This is my first PBEM game - expect 1-2 turns a week realistically which may
or may not increase depending on how my time frees up.

PM if interested.

Spring/Summer 1942 Offensive

How soon, as the Axis, do you typically begin your offensive in the Spring/Summer of 1942? What are the benefits of waiting and the consequences of attacking too soon?
