RE: TOAW IV BETA AAR - Part I

Larry, thanks for posting. As a dedicated D21 player, I have to say you are looking good. But could you comment on the changes in the game? Are the mostly graphic?

RE: Directive 21 v2.0: THANKS!

<t> I am going to start a new game because at Turn 9 an entire Russian armored division interdicted the rail line supplying Army Group Centre and the staff had insufficient rear area coverage to detect it, much less eliminate it. Franz Halder has cleaned house, and we are go, again. Thanks again to ...

RE: How to Run SOW G in Windows 10

<t> Just thought I'd post my experience. The game will crash unexpectedly in W10. However, if you off-click on the icon in the tray or on the desktop or in the directory, you will have the option to "run as administrator". You can also run a compatibility wizard from the same menu. I have the best ...

RE: TOAW IV features: Corps/Army reassignments

Hey Curtis! Will/can TOAW IV allow reassigning divisions to different corps, corps to different army? This deficiency in the flexibility of higher formations is one of the glaring problems with the game as is. Didn't see a mention of it in your list of IV features. I want kampfgruppes!

RE: D21: The Thread to End All Threads

<t> Thank you! I meant PO, programmed opponent.<br/>
It's nice to know that Moscow can be taken. It's nice to know it's hard to hold.<br/>
I take it you either designed or updated the scenario. Do you know Silvanski? His playthrough on YouTube is brilliant. I wish I could get more detail but that ...

D21: The Thread to End All Threads

<t> I am obsessed with this scenario and I need help so I can end this addiction. Here are my "issues" as they say in California:<br/>
1. My God what is the current version of the PI suitable scenario, and where can I find it?<br/>
2. How many hexes is a disembarked Bautripp going to repair per ...

RE: Newest Version of D21

Well I now have a broken D21. The rails don't break so the scenario is completely unrealistic. I downloaded the new version from Mr. Fulkerson but that didn't function. I think I am going back to the original scenario download unless someone has a better idea. Help!

RE: D21 v2.3

<t> I downloaded sPzAbt653's new D21 stuff installed double checked filename .eqp that error message won't eradicate itself. Will it affect game play? I have the proper .eqp file in the graph dir for D21 and the game, its folders, etc are all named Directive 21 1941-1945 however I left the bmps ...

RE: D21

Edwire your progress in D21 is an inspiration to me! Thanks for posting the AAR. I have a question: on the first turn do you have the airforce do its preemptive strike before you move any units?

RE: A how-to for beginners

<t> Larry, these documents are a godsend for me. I am disabled and spending some time playing Directive 21. Although I am an experienced war gamer, the complexities of TOAW have been daunting. For example, is it really worth it to execute the pre emptive airstrikes and waste 20% of the turn at the ...
