RE: Odd Japanese Torpedo Devices.

On the lighter side of things... The Kaiten works somewhat and ironically late war is the only way any IJN sailor leaves a sub alive.

RE: Kami and Special Weapons Prep

<t> The subs do have Kaiten currently listed as one of their weapons. Though the warhead may not be the ship killer I originally thought it was. Where I might have made a bigger error was letting the Kitikami class CL upgrade to where it carries kaiten only and nor Long Lance torps at all.<br/>

<t> Well then, the good news is, I have very many units with fairly high exp pilots. <br/>
<br/>
Thank you for the information. I should be able to convert any unit I wish now. <br/>

Expecting an advance through the Aleutians any time so this may be a great help.<br/>

Convert to Kamikaze

<t> Jan 1945 and Kamikazes finally have come on line. The first day I noticed there was a 6 as the number of units available to convert. In my zeal I converted mostly naval units when most of the pilots I have trained in Low Nav are Army pilots. (Even converted a dedicated training unit, great job ...

RE: Timing the decline of your Japanese economy

<t> I can somewhat answer the Kamikaze thingy. Almost any plane can become a kamikaze. Not the transports. They switch over as a unit when available. Your opponent must be (top of page 175 of manual) 15 hexes by sea from Tokyo, Takao, or Saigon. And the date after Jan 1 1944. <br/>

That was kinda what I was expecting to hear. Thank you for your reply.

Guess we are just lucky to be able to get the exp up cheaply on the fighter pilots.

TB DB Pilot Training

<t> Can get their nav attack skill up to 70 easily enough but unlike their fighter counterparts I cannot seem to get their exp up to 70 very easily. <br/>
<br/>
I have some units that have been on nav patrol or ASW for 12 -18 months and their exp is around 60.<br/>

<t> Ok then, thank you. Was hoping I found some new gem to use. Usually find one every few weeks or so here if I look around enough. And the best most useful ones lately have been on pilot training.<br/>

RE: Found new button

<r> Nope this is it. Just to see i released 50 at a time and it took over 10 clicks to get below 50. Wondering if i did this in game if I just sent 500 Pilots to the First Civ Div, or somewhere useful?<br/>

<t> PBEM opponent out of town so I was poking around and found a new button, I am not at all sure what its purpose is. Able to retire pilots in groups of 50, 10, or singly from the pilot reserve I believe it is.<br/>

RE: IJN airframe Fatigue

Thanks for the replies. I think Bullwinkle put it best. I actually admire the game more thinking about it that way. At least I am sure my opponent has to put up with the same thing. Especially since those 4E beasties have to travel from further afar, at least for now.

RE: IJN airframe Fatigue

<t> Thinking now fatigue never really does go down like damage, which can be repaired. Fatigue a reflection of hours flown? Still sure I remember resting units at sea and plane fatigue going down, just seems really slow at a base with more support. <br/>

Changing AC types at the base always ...
