RE: PDF Manual

Is anyone currently working on updating the manual? I remember some talk about it a while ago. I'm considering taking on this task, but obviously don't want to duplicate if someone else is already working on it.

RE: OT: Roadwar 2000

<t> I played it back in 1991, while I took a year off to travel the country visiting friends and family after leaving the military. Sometimes I was waiting for my host to get home from work, etc., so I'd hop on and knock out a few turns. Good game. I recall finding a semi I loaded down with crew and ...

RE: OT: Update on Collision

<t> I will speak from personal experience. I was in the naval aviation program during 1987, and personally saw women pilots-in-training passed through under lesser standards than male pilots. I had good flight grades, but failed my carrier quals and was washed out of the program. A female student ...

RE: Trip to Palau and Peleliu

<t> Not exactly on-point, but an interesting note for me on Palau: Our disgraced former Williamson County, Texas District Attorney (John Bradley) was hired as Attorney General of Palau in 2014. He resigned about this time last year for "family reasons." He was part of the cover-up of the Michael ...

RE: Type 1 medium tank and Sherman

<t> Another informal source of info might be the Army's museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. They have a lot of WWII armored vehicles there. As a youngster our Scout troop went there once a year (I grew up near Baltimore) and they let us climb all over the tanks. Now days, of course, that ...

At the time I was dying to buy a Toyota Celica, like one-half the Ensigns in my class did, but good sense (?) prevailed. I sold it for $175 in scrap value 10 years later, when it needed a new transmission after ...

Hans is right, you are dreaming of a different game. In fact, you are obviously playing the wrong game. WitPAE is designed for people who LIKE to make lots of clicks when playing. If you are interested in less clicks, you should look elsewhere. [:D]

RE: Canada and India invaded!

Wow, those are some pretty high Ops losses, 30% on P-40 and 60% on P-39. Jeff too on his Oscars. Were there a lot of damaged planes during battle that crashed on landing (or were junked afterwards)? Or do you attribute this to something else?

RE: Canada and India invaded!

<t> I say go for it. Although you've got several units in 30ish fatigue and a bit of disruption, I'm guessing he has more. You're advantage in firepower keeps increasing as more of his devices are being destroyed. His forts are lower than before. And couldn't some of his units actually leave? Then ...

RE: OT: Wake, Pearl, Gitmo Pictures 3

<t> I served as a lifeguard-for-the-day at Gitmo in February of 1990. I was stationed on the USS South Carolina (CGN-37) and we pulled in for a break from drug interdiction patrols, and to provide electrical power to part of the base while they worked on their generators. We had 2.5 Megawatts due to ...
