RE: How to gain unit experience

<r> I'm afraid you're comparing "apples to oranges" - kills and experience are not, in any way, tied together. For instance, I currently have a Strategic Bomber with over 400 experience, but not even 100 kills. Conversely, I had a panzer with hundreds of kills, but only a few hundred experience.<br ...

RE: Is there a bundle deal for the DLC?

<t> I'll be honest, I haven't purchased a disk version of a PC game in... heck, it's been a LONG time in terms of this industry, more than 2-3 years. Whenever humanly possible I go for the digital download, as long as the company has a good system for downloading it again in the future if I ...

RE: Does Panzer Corps allow tanks to overun?

<r> It's a tricky one, because when a company makes a game that's a "spiritual successor" to an earlier game, but elects to change some key component, some backlash is pretty much inevitable. Fortunately, the PC team had enough testers and beta-testers to show that, nostalgia aside, leaving overrun ...

RE: Is PC a good beginner wargame?

<r> Panzer Corps is, at its core, the spiritual successor to a famous game called "Panzer General", which was the first in a series of well-received war games. The popularity of the Panzer General series was due in large part because it WASN'T insanely hard to pick up like other wargames of its time ...

RE: Does Panzer Corps allow tanks to overun?

<t> Posting the same question twice wasn't totally necessary, we heard ya. [:'(] [;)]<br/>
<br/>
But, no the feature was left out deliberately for reasons of game balance. I loved overruns in PG and PG II as well, but uh, it was completely unfair once you got good at it and highly questionable ...

RE: t90 sp aa

<t> Well, looking at that Armor.kiev site linked to from wikipedia, there are definitely extant pictures of at least one fully functional prototype. The design WAS canceled, but it looks like the unit existed for a brief period and it's not unreasonable for PC to make it available for use. (Hey ...

RE: What does experience do?

<r> The first benefit you'll see is that experience is applied as a bonus to Initiative. If you CTRL+click when preparing for an attack, or if you hit L after an attack, you'll see that experience level (100, 200, 300, etc.) adds to that value. Makes for some veeeery extra punch before you get hit ...

RE: The final three America scenarios of the campaign

Ummm... is there any way a mod could wipe out dashenglai's spam posts? I mean really, it's been a solid month. He has 12 posts, they're all auto-spam about wedding dresses fer christ's sake.

RE: Price Panzerjaeger I

<t> Remember that a critical purpose of prestige is not so much to reflect price as much as it reflects the difficulty in procuring the item. So basic leg infantry are dirt "cheap" because the equipment is common. Panzerjaeger Is (only 202 produced!) are "expensive" because for a hypothetical unit ...
