More military than Diplomacy, more tactics than Third Reich (Love those leader ratings and the 'rock paper scissors' battle chits), and more diplomacy than almost anything ...

There are several people who frequent the forums if you want to try a multiplayer game as well. Over thirty years old and to my mind still the Gold Standard of Napoleonic Grand Strategy games

If people are still out there, we might be able to get a game going here. I'd be willing to try.

Bill, I'll give it a go. I was wondering though, are there variations in the code for PBEM play, as opposed to hotseat and PvC play? Maybe if there's an interested pbem group that can try? Does anybody know how many active PBEM's there are?

strange... try this. I was playing as Spain, allied to Britain. Spain attacked the Turkish stack. Then when GBs naval turn comes, I get the error.

I'm playing with this patch and had a strange naval error pop up after naval combat is resolved

Speaking of dominant status... Seems that GB lost theirs somehow.

Current issue: Turkey DoW'd Naples, defeated the corps, and planted a garrison. The country refuses to surrender though. I noted the same issue a few months earlier in Georgia.

Thank you again for your continued loyalty to this classic. I take the opposite approach when testing- I'm putting most of the AIs on easy or medium as it creates more variations on events (Majors ceding Feudal provinces to Turkey, for instance) than I would tend to get when playing tougher AIs.

Glad to help! Here's my latest. Austria has ceded Transylvania to Turkey, yet I cannot place the Transylvanian Corps after Levy, (Note that I can do this with Podolia...)

OK, I've been playing Turkey against AI Russia. Russia almost always DoW's, but then just trickles corps in against me, allowing for me to defeat them in detail. They are very good with Cossacks though.

On the plus side, the game is now running pretty smoothly. No more lock-ups noted.

Russia is conquering Sweden and the game gets caught in a loop as the Swedish fleet is evacuating Stockholm
