RE: Want to get it but three questions

So a bazooka firing from a building will have a better chance of penetrating than one fired from a slope?

Thanks for the info, it helps with planning moves.

RE: Want to get it but three questions

Oh forgot to ask, but does the game take in consideration if the armor is in an oblique angle when considering if the shot can penetrate or not? For example, if AT gun impact will be from a 10 degree angle instead of 90 degree, will the chance of penetration decrease as it should?

RE: Want to get it but three questions

Good to know, so maybe the problem is that things happen so fast that there´s not time to check the tank status after some hits heh.

RE: Want to get it but three questions

<r> The gameplay difference is minimal. After some playthroughs you know the armor piercing capabilities of the guns, specially because, well, the 88 of the Tiger is equal to the 88 AA and the 7.5 PAK was present in many vehicles. Also, since there really isn´t that vairiety in tanks as well, you ...

RE: Distant Worlds: Shadows

<t> Yeah, through I hope to see a more tactical game, the current model simply doesn´t allow it. It will be something for DW 2 (which I hope will have turn based strategy and real time battles - by not having to bother with planets while you fight, it would finally allow for a decent and separate ...

Tips for offensives

<t> Well I had the courage of buying the game since it´s been ages since I´ve played CC, and the maps are pretty [:)]<br/>

Through defense is obviously easy both for AI and player, I´m having lots of trouble on the attack. Specially as germans the assimetry and scarcity of troops is nasty ...

I'm curious if compound angle of impact is considered within the games armor penetration model. A lot of guns -- on paper -- look to have the ability to perforate this or that level of armor thickness. However in reality attack angles are ...

In my opinion, the offensive AI is as bad as ever. As soon as I started playing, I remembered why I found a human opponent the last time around - the AI is incapable of mounting an efficient attack, even with far superior ...

I always imagine how much more I would enjoy CC with a wego option.

Actually I´d rather see an updated Steel Panthers. Now THAT´S a game that deserves the 3D and bug slaughter treatment [;)]

<t> Not very happy with features so far. I´d like to see more depth to population management. I'll comment briefly here to note that a very significant amount of time has been spent during the development of Distant Worlds: Shadows

RE: Game to easy?

<t> I wouldn´t compare GC 2 to DW, the first is turn-based (which makes AI programming much easier because you remove a critical factor that gives an advantage to the human - timing), combat is a joke and ship design is much simpler.<br/>

As a sugestion for DW 2 I´d say that the strategic ...

RE: Tending the Flock

I hope one of the projects is about multiplayer. Think it´s a bit too soon to think about a DW 2.

Diplomacy improvements would be good, but economy and population management is important too.
