Finnish sector

While the game as a whole is hard, I find it particularly hard for the finnish. Soviets in the area are a pain in the ass and I find it very difficult to keep them at bay.

Do you have any tactical tips to play them ?

RE: Orders timing out

Ok. This seems to only happen in the Race to Bastogne scenario. Strange.

RE: Orders timing out

I seem to have them in some occasions in the scenario I am currently playing (Stuck in the teeth). I'll try to sort out when I do have them and when I do not.

About the orders expired stuff, it is slightly cumbersome. A good idea would be to be able to set the End Date to Auto.

Orders timing out

<t> Hi guys,<br/>
<br/>
I just finished Road to Bastogne, my first scenario after the tutorial. Even if events went pretty well, I was slightly exasperated with the way units abandoned (not delayed) their mission. Sometimes, this flashed in yellow and red, but when I checked, the order was still ...

Confused between move and attack orders

<t> I am starting the Race To Bastogne scenario as the Germans. I am instructed to race to the first targets, bypassing the enemies between me and them. If I use the Move orders, I can bypass the enemy but not attack at the end (unless i select the Attack checkbox which will countradict the Bypass ...

RE: Halting!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!

<t> The AI delayed the attack until the whole brigade was there (which meant a several hours delay for waiting every unit to be there, then planning the assault, and then starting again towards Breitfeld). A lesson that I may draw from this experience may be to order units to bypass enemies when ...

RE: Halting!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!

<t> It seems to me that I am just slower than expected, but otherwise doing OK (which means I will encounter problems because the Germans are getting reinforcements)<br/>

The Steinebruck bridge was taken around noon and Lommersweiler around 2030 at day 1. I let them get some rest for the ...

Possibly, though I'd note that as routine I have significant numbers of troops from CCB in St Vith ahead of the German Morning Day 2 reinforcements... if you are still stuck in the south it isn't <I><s></s>purely<e></e></I> a 'code' thing ...

RE: Halting!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!

Is this the reason why in the tutorial of BftB, I take 2 or 3 more times to do anything than explained in the videos ? I took Lommersweiler during the evening of day 1 and a whole battalion was stopped for most of day 2 by an HQ and a mortar platoon on the road to Breitfeld.
