I was able to fix the menu rendering problem by using the Wine Configuration tool and changing the "Windows Version" to "Windows 7" or "Windows 8" on the Applications tab.

Hopefully, this fixes the problem for you as well.

elmrr, the issue I was having was on Cold War. I have not tRed Storm yet (although I bought it in a bundle with Cold War).

I also posted the issue for Cold War on the Crossover forums. I'll let you know if I get any useful responses.

I was able to get the game running on Parallels on my Mac. So far, it does not have the UI issues I was seeing when running on Crossover.

I'll play on Parallels until there is a fix for Crossover.

I'm having the same issues on Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War using Crossover on an Apple Silicon Mac running MacOS 26.1. The drop-down menus at the top of the UI are also blank until the mouse cursor moves through them.

I did exactly what you did (executed all steps except for 6) and everything works fine now. When I click the "Check for update" button, it now says that I am running the most current version as expected.
