Wanted: Japanese player for CG (Closed: opponent found)

<t> Looking for a good Japanese player. Would prefer RA or DBB mod, with stacking limits, but open to stock. HRs negotiable.<br/> I have some experience playing Allies in PBEM. Can do about 1-2 turns per day, depending on location of opponent. I would like to try an AAR from my side.<br/> <br/> PM i...

RE: A War to Be Won: Uncivil Engineer (J) vs. Praetor1944(A)

<t> So far, the game has been great fun, though maybe too boring for some since nothing spectacular has occurred thus far. The sinking of the Saratoga about 4 hexes from San Diego was a real bummer. The initial sub attack caused flotation damage 60 so I thought I could get her back to SD with no pro...

RE: anyone played old boardgames?

The great thing about Avalon Hill was the General magazine. I still have a bunch of them from the golden days of AH, the 70s.

RE: How Did Clancy Know?

After Cardinal in the Kremlim, I think Clancy went downhill quickly. Overall, I liked Red Storm Rising best.
However, the best NATO war novel was The Third World War by Hackett. It had nuclear strikes which is probably what would have happened in real life if the USSR attacked.

RE: anyone played old boardgames?

<t> My first wargame was Battle of the Bulge (original version) from Avalon Hill. I bought and played several AH games through the years, with Third Reich being my favorite. Also bought SPIs Wacht am Rhein and War in the Pacific. Never really played them. Mostly set them up in my parent's basement a...

It seems an appropriate day to ask how many forum members can remember a former naval aviator's most important landing. I was 10 years old and can remember the landing and the moonwalk like it was yesterday. I was allowed to stay up and watch it all.

Newbie seeking Japanese player - preferably DaBabes scenarios (closed)

<t> I'm a newbie and this would me my first PBEM. I've played against the Ironman AI but want the challenge and excitement of playing against a human opponent. The AARs have been very helpful in educating me about what to expect.<br/> <br/> Since I'm new to the forums and PBEM, I understand the relu...

WITP-AE PBEM help

<t> Hi,<br/> <br/> I've had AE for a while but only recently joined the forum. I'm currently into my 2nd Ironman game against the Japanese AI (stopped 1st game in late 1944 after taking Formosa and Okinawa). How much should I play against the AI before trying PBEM? I'm anxious to get into PBEM but d...
