Re: Looking for Experienced Axis Player for GC '41

Hello. I would be interested in a game, have some 7-8 games pvp experience. I would say no paradrops and at most limited naval invasions (some hex limit from existing harbour or something). Ambivalent about sudden death.

Guess I would prefer a server game but we can do PBEM if you want to.

Re: lets talk about soviet cavalry again

Was the initial sacrificing attacks really what decided that battle? Seems like the german division went from strength 57 in first battle to 56 in 5th battle, but maybe that strength indicator is missing some factors. Seems like the bigger problem might have been that the german player had driven th...

Re: Why does WiTE2 require admin privileges?

My guess would be because they choose a subfolder to the exe folder instead of somewhere in <user>/documents folder for save games, and that might be write protected for non admin users ?

RE: GA

<t> Im no expert but my understanding was that GAs wasnt detected until entering enemy territory (air supply missions on the other hand seems to be detected far into friendly territory...). So i guess the difference might be that in Lokis AI game the AI often bomb stuff further into his territory wh...

there are no special rules so really not sure what you are referring to.

Soviet air commands

<t> It seems like what the game wants you to do is to have one air command per front since they come in pairs.<br/> <br/> Given that air leadership seems to be effectivly unlimited in both number of units and command range it should be more effective to put all operational aircrafts (except long ran...

Its delivered at the start of the player turn. Before any hexes are swapped due to only one side having units near them as far as I can tell.

RE: Some Suggestions for the Next Patch

Well the old siege artillery was a deathray that made cities easier to take than open ground while the current one removes it from the game. Neither is optimal but the current implementation is less disruptive for the rest of the game.

RE: Some Suggestions for the Next Patch

<t> Hm yes the game went surprisingly well after the script I laid out in the other thread. Except that wadortch had disabled the finns so agn had to wait for agc to cut the railroads instead of having the finns do it.<br/> <br/> But yes especially in ags the soviets need some sort of buff, the germ...

<t> About pbem balancing I would say it currently favours the germans. I just finished a mirror game against Jadgfluger where we both won as the germans (him by rushing moscow in mid july!)<br/> <br/> AGN germans will usually win once the finns joins. AGS the soviets have no way of holding the line ...

Well I got a penalty for attacking the hex south of 12 inf from two directions and not advancing into it. No other finnish units moved that turn.

RE: Finland

I think the problem is that the hex south of 12 inf in that map counts as no go territory for the finns. I just got a penalty in my current game for attacking that hex.

RE: Comrade Goofski - Barbarossa vs Isokron (No Isokron)

<t> GG warspite.<br/> <br/> Well the key to conserving fuel is to try to do as little attacking as possible with the panzers and use the motorized infantry instead. Most of the panzers just follow after on a long straight line to keep the route open from the bypassed soviet divisions. Also helped th...
