RE: Command Line Switch Reference

I've installed AE on a new PC. I've read the previous posts. I can't find the "Quick start" shortcut mentioned above. Am I missing something?
Thankyou for your patience.

RE: What would you want in War in the Pacific 3?

Before any of these improvements are done, AE needs to be made more compatable with Win10.I did read Alfred post, this would take years of work. The farther we get from XP the harder the game gets to play.

RE: Spitfire (OT)

I forgot about wind speed, add this to ship's speed to get wind across the deck. Subtract this from stall speed to get additional airspeed needed to take off.

RE: Spitfire (OT)

Stall speed of a MkV Spit is 85mph. stall speed of a MkIX spit is 95 mph. at 30kts INTO the wind the aircraft need only 65-70mph to fly from a standing start. could easily be done.

RE: New Monitor

<t> I'm sorry, it would have helped a lot if I would have told what I put in for the switches. -px1920 -py1080 -cpu4 -skipVideo -altFont -deepColor -dd_sw other than the x/y screen size and the cpu# I don't know what I'm doing. Will try your suggestions again thank you very much.<br/>

<t> Considering my father was an infantryman in the 25th Div. I have a rather biased and personal opinion about this. Had the he land on Kyushu was the rest of the "Olympic" forces, I wouldn't be here. I beleive there would not have been enough Japanese left after the war to make a 9man team for ...

<t> The P-51 and F4U stayed in active inventories after the war and more went into storage as the best piston engined fighter the respective services had. Most other aircraft were scrapped with only a few examples surviving. While the P-47 was a good ground attack plane, the Air Force didn't really ...

RE: Corsair vs, Jug

One small tidbit not mentioned the P-51 cost $58k at intro which dropped to $50k later. The P-47 stayed a steady $115k through out its production run. Coupled with higher maintence (turb-super charger)is one reason the P-51 was chosen over the P-47.

RE: Jap "Heavy" bombers

<t> Patton just about has it right on. The air unit got the mission, The bomber or fighter was loaded with the fuel to reach the target, then loaded with ammo, what was left of maximum weight was bombs. Hence short range more bombs, long range less bombs.<br/>

<t> Radar gives a much more precise range than and optical sight even under ideal conditions. The USN used stadiameter range finders. This is two images of the taget placed one above the other. You dialed in the Known Masthead height of the target, then you placed the water line of the upper image ...

RE: 21 inch MK14 torpedo

In 1943 the Mk16 Torpedo went into production and began to replace the Mk14, this was a very slow process. The warhead problems were fixed and the fuel was changed from methenol to Hyrogen Peroxide. No more Torpedo Juice.
