RE: naval strike 100ft

<t> All I can add to this is that I use Beaufighters at 100' regularly and as someone stated they will strafe and drop bombs. With regard to which skill I have noticed that both strafe and low naval seem to improve from these missions, but that strafe skill seems to increase at a faster rate than ...

<r> Apart from the Beau I have to say I have a soft spot for the Boomerang. To some it has looks only a mother could love, but to me it's beautiful. It's just a pity it's performance didn't match it's punacious looks. Live footage of one in Broome, Western Australia a couple of years ago:- <URL url ...

<t> I dont see it as all that gamey. They have the capability do to so even if it's not standard doctrine. Much innovation in warfare has to do with thinking outside the box and I don't see it as gamey in the sense that using B-17s for skip bombing would be. If an opponent used it against me I'd ...

Not only the Fritz X, but they also had the HS-293 glide bomb, usually carried by the Heinkel 177 but also FW 200 Condor, and He-111 and Do-217 bombers. Story and list of 'victims' here:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henschel_Hs_293

RE: Usual split for 2 allied players?

Thanks once again gentlemen. The point about communication is of course a good one, and though I'm no stranger to coalition wargaming the scale of this game will require it be taken to a different order of magnitude. I expect it to be most interesting, and once again thanks for the input.

Yeah, that's the normal split. Sometimes the Brit/Indian/China/Dutch player will also take over Aussie units, particularly if the Japanese opponent(s) focus all their efforts in SoPac/SWPAC (like so many do) just as a way to stay involved ...

Usual split for 2 allied players?

<t> OK, so I'm involved with some discussions with some other guys concerning a scen 2- 2x2. My partner will be taking the US, and I'm assuming his command would extend to include Australia and New Guinea, with me taking India/Burma/China and control of operations in the Dutch East indies falling to ...
