Re: Novice player, cant get Axis bombers to fly from June 1943

Thank you so much, that seems likely, I can see the hotkey on the hot key list. I'll check and report back.

Really appreciate the help, thought I was going mad!

Novice player, cant get Axis bombers to fly from June 1943

I'm hoping somebody will be able to give me an answer to this. I am brand new to War in the East 2, never having played any of the previous games. I've been working through a learning campaign as the Axis, watching tutorial videos and reading the manual as I go. I have got as far as June 1943 when a ...

Re: Installing ACW Version 1.02

Thanks for this, just bought the game having had many happy hours on previous Strategic Command Games. Couldn't get it to update and this was the first post I found. Have successfully updated to version 1.03 using this advice. Thank you.

RE: DAK is bugged with 1.22 ?

Was just about to start a solo game and just thought I'd have a quick browse of the forums. Is this a general issue that will happen in any game or just under certain circumstances? Wondering whether to hold off before starting?

<t> Hope this is okay to piggyback onto this thread. I've had a search round for answers and cant seem to find what I'm looking for, so apologies in advance if this is repeating issues that are answered elsewhere.<br/>

RE: Strategic Command WWII: War in Europe – The “Panzerfaust Update”

Just checking I'm reading everything correctly. Best idea for somebody playing solo games, is to finish off my ongoing games before updating (on matrix version)? Then just delete all my saved games before the update? I dont have any mods loaded.

RE: Supply Problems

<t> Some really great information in this thread thanks for asking the question and thanks all for answers. Re the manual, it is not always easy to find the relevant piece of information and like has been stated above, the information can be vague in places. Getting info from experienced players is ...

RE: New player, slightly dumb question, NATO symbols

<t> Thanks Bill. Yeah I was wondering that, it seems to be building up a lot of forces though and you would think it could spare the odd destroyer to help out with anti-sub operations itself? As an experiment I launched a few transports across the Atlantic myself to see what it would do...it turned ...

RE: New player, slightly dumb question, NATO symbols

<t> Another question. Still messing around with the game and trying to learn things. I'm playing an "AI" campaign where I'm just playing as the Soviets, i.e. USA and Britain are both also AI controlled. Do I need to do something to get the USA involved in the war? They are at war with the Axis ...

RE: New player, slightly dumb question, NATO symbols

<t> Apologies, but another question. Again for games against the AI at the moment. If I want to try and delay the USSR declaring war if I'm playing as the Axis, I need to keep a sharp eye on diplomacy and make sure that USSR pro Allies percentage doesnt get too high?<br/>

<t> Sorry about this, but I have a further dumb question, this time concerning carriers. I'm just trying to learn the game little bit by bit and keep getting stuck on various bits. RE: New player, slightly dumb question, NATO symbols

<t> Thanks all. Will be a while before I try any PBEM games. My general rule is to try and learn the game mechanics which generally takes a few weeks, once I've done that then go and get my b*** royally kicked by trying a PBEM game, as it is only by playing humans that I really learn.<br/>

New player, slightly dumb question, NATO symbols

<t> Apologies for what is a no doubt oft repeated question, but how do I change my unit types from sprites to NATO symbols? I have just purchased and am reading through the manual as I go. Under 3.3.2 it states I should be able to change from 3D sprites to NATO, yet I am struggling to do so, it only ...
