No luck with any of these suggestions. Anyone have another tactic?

Thanks.

U.S. CVL resize problem

<t> Playing DaBabes. <br/>
<br/>
My fighters squadrons start out capped @12 on CVL's, with a resize to 24 in November of '43. It is now December of '43 but I haven't had any of the squadrons bump up. I have the resize authorized, replacements on, in a port with ample supply (Pearl), with 000's of ...

RE: Tips for SC TF composition

I have found that an Allied 12 x Fletcher class DD Tf w/Burke, Smoot, or Moosbrugger (sp?) to be pretty effective. Great speed and excellent for hitting an atoll from about 11K yards.

I use them to support my next invasion. That usually means hitting the airfields that could interfere with my amph TF's.

I asked this question years ago and was told (by a developer) that the terms are just there for chrome - NO differences between them.

RE: Create Barge -> any use?

<t> The developers say 'yes', beaching type craft or ships (LCI, LST, etc.), and those with their own complement of landing craft (simulated by the game but not shown explicitly, such as APA, AKA, AP, AK, LSD, etc. have) do assist other ships in the same TF once they have finished their own ...

2-4 hours during the week and a good weekend (meaning no wife interference) I could get 10-16 on a Saturday.

RE: Regiments vs Divisions

In my latest game I did not (could not) combine the 1st Marine until late '42. When I did, Vandegrift was not put in command, nor could I place him there. He is, however, leading the I Amph Corp.

crsutton,

Great tip on disbanding some of the British indie ART units to flesh out the normal compliment inside a division. Those are the kinds of things I too often overlook.

Yes, I do have fighter pilots trained up to 70+ skill in low level bombing. I start a training squadron at the beginning of the war with an eye towards the P-38's down the road. In the past these ave been highly effective, including using drop tanks. I am now in a DaBabes ...

RE: not getting any hits

When I got home last night I did do the check. It shows that the P-38G, with drop tanks, still carries 2 x 500 pounders. So my original question holds - why am I not getting any hits? This is not a one-mission failure. I have been running many missions, from several different bases.

RE: not getting any hits

<t> I was thinking the same way as Moose - by adding the drop tanks I thought I was able to burn extra supply to get the longer range and still carry ordinance. Sardaukar's comment makes sense now, though.<br/>

not getting any hits

<t> I am flying my P-38Gs (load of 3200 ibs.) on airfield attacks and I am not getting any hits. My pilots are experienced and skilled, the base being targeted is well-detected. The planes are flying, just not causing any damage. I have tried changing the altitude (any and all from 1,000 to 9,000 ...

RE: sorry - got a response in other thread

Alfred,

I had read that post carefully prior to posting so my question is to your #2 - is their an added bonus to having more than one AGC (w/o Force HQ) in a given TF?

Thanks,

Mike

sorry - got a response in other thread

As US player I understand what the Amph Force HQ is for and I know that an AGC will help it's TF - I would like to know if having more than one AGC in a single TF means even faster unloading or does one AGC max out the benefit?

(another) AMPH question - Allied

I understand how the Force HQ works and the TF bonus for an AGC being present. My question is if 2 (or more) AGC's are present is the unload bonus increased?
