RE: Is a Multi-multi game possible?

<t> If this works I'm going to move to the entire war using Pacific War : Admirals Edition. This could involve multiple payers and maybe some house rules which would allow axis or allies to send more or less resources to one side or the other. In other words if Macarthur gets greedy again and uses a ...

RE: Is a Multi-multi game possible?

So the consensus is that a passed around file ion hotseat might work but true server based multiplayer would not... I'm glad folks are interested in this. I'm going to try with two friends and I'll let ya'll know here if it works out.

RE: Is a Multi-multi game possible?

<t> Ah yes. Thanks for the tip Seamonkey. I'll try that. The tricky part is making sure that each side gets to see the combat result from 'last week'. The Allies only get to open one file to start a new week showing the Axis moves. I'm going to set up a game by myself and play all; 3 sides to see if ...

Is a Multi-multi game possible?

<t> We're going to try with three guys like this: <br/>
<br/>
Player A = Axis<br/>
Player B = Allies (except Russia)<br/>
Player C = Russia<br/>
<br/>
So let's say I'm player B. <br/>
<br/>
1 - I make my moves as Britain, France and USA etc. and then send the save game file to C (Russia).<br ...

Thanks Hubert. Great interface. I love the way the diplomacy and research blend in with the fighting.

Help with unit icon meanings

<t> I really do like this game and it's interface but it is frustrating to try to understand all of the many dots and markers attached to the Unit icons. I understand that the strength and readiness, upgrade status, movement and even experience are displayed with colored dots and numbers displayed ...

RE: Carrier Operations?

OK. I'll try that tonight when I get home. I was just afraid that by left clicking on the port my carrier would sail straight there rather then send bombers. Thanks again.

RE: Carrier Operations?

Thanks guys. I'm almost there. My question was - is there anything else I have to click to prompt an attack besides being close enough, being in Naval/Tactical mode and finding favorable weather? Also - what IS the range of my Swordfish? Thanks.

Carrier Operations?

Sorry if I'm being thick here but I can't find much about carrier ops in the manual. I have one just outside of Taranto now and I want to surprise Il Duce. (Shhh..don't tell.) Other then putting the carrier on Naval Ops mode how do I get my Swordfish to raid the ships in port?

RE: Font Size

I just turned 64 and my eyes suck from too much wargaming. Been at it since Avalon Hill days. Please respect your elders and work on those fonts eh? (And get offa my lawn!...damn kids.)

RE: new to SCWWII - a few more basic questions...

Thanks. I did find that section helpful so I guess the only thing I haven't found yet is what the various tiny little numbers represent underneath the unit.

new to SCWWII - a few more basic questions...

<t> - I have scanned both manuals and cannot find a graphic that shows what each of the unit markers, numbers and colors mean (I'm using Nato markers) Did I miss it or has anyone included one in a guide or WIKI somewhere?<br/>
<br/>

new to SCWWII - a few basic questions...

<t> Just starting through the tutorial and the game looks great so far.<br/>
<br/>
1 - Curious to know how some brigades can be more powerful than divisions and some divisions can be more powerful then armies.<br/>
2 - Are there any actual casualty statistics or is that all abstracted?<br/>

Near Sighted Warrior Here

<t> So I was all set to go ahead and buy this game but at 63 years old and with poor eyesight I'm concerned about the complaints of some about hard to read fonts. I do wish there was some sort of demo so that I can try (too see) before I buy.<br/>
1 - can someone post a screen shot of the screens ...

RE: Multiplayer question

<t> Thanks Hubert - actually my post was a typo. I meant a 2 player game not 32. Anyway the question was - could you make all of the moves for England, save the game before clicking 'end turn' and email it to France so that they could complete the Allied turn. I take your answer to be 'no' but maybe ...

Multiplayer question

<t> So SCWW2 is listed as a 32 player multiplayer game. Would it be possible to do a pbem game and share one side between say, England and France by passing the saved game along to your ally before ending the turn? This question cuts both ways as either a 2 player game against the AI or a 3 or 4 ...

seeking multiplayer, turn based war game recommendations

Further specifications would be that :

- multiplayer be 3 or more opponents
- learning curve be not TOO steep - about like 'Commander: The Great War'
- hex based preferred
- historic rather than fantasy

Much thanks.

OK I'm in! But a few questions sil-vous-plait...

1 - How does this game compare to the other, 'civil war' Scourge of War offerings? Are there plans to upgrade the older games to this level?

2 - Does anyone know of future plans to continue this series of games?

Merci...

Multiplayer with WITE, WITW and Pacific War

<r> OK bear with me now. I know that there is no built in connection between these 3 massive games but - would this work as a simple set of 'house-rules' to create a multi-massive WW2 experience?<br/>

I find 5 insane friends who are willing to but/learn at least one of these games and agree ...
