RE: Scen 21 - SPOILER SPOILER

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>It is Apr 42 and I just managed to get a large troop/supply convoy to Sydney. Much of West Austraila is occuppied by Japanese forces. On the way to Sydney a crusier force was spotted heading to Penrhyn Isl where I had a waiting Tanker train. I moved them out of harms way and ...

RE: Scen 21 - SPOILER SPOILER

<t> I managed to drive off the CV task force next Washington using submarine attacks and PT boat attacks. I think the submarines damaged the CVL, which was reported sunk and a couple of days later reported sunk again. I think the PT boats put a torpedo in one of the CVs.<br/>

<t> Hi Andy. I downloaded your zip file today but wasn't able to load scen21 - it hangs. I tried loading with the editor and got a AeAiDAta::ReadFile error. Looking at your zip files I see a file NDetail23.txt. Should that be NDetail21.txt?<br/>

RE: OT: Use of Capture Equipment

<t> The Japanese Army captured some P-40s and later operated a number in Burma. The Japanese appear to have had as many as 10 flyable P-40Es. For a brief period in 1943, a few of them were actually used operationally by 2 Hiko Chutai, 50 Hiko Sentai (2nd Air Squadron, 50th Air Regiment) in the ...

New May 42 Start

This is mod 68 that starts May 1, 1942. It has full scripts. It is much closer to historical than my previous version 65.

RE: Grand Campaign May 42

<t> I'm working on an update version of this scenario as scenario 68 using extended game map. Some changes made to date. Add a lot more scripts from Scenario 1 and updated relevant ones for 5/1/42 start. Josho Maru relocated to Hong Kong. Ship was used in merchant trade between China and Japan. It ...

RE: Grand Campaign May 42

<t> I updated the position of several ships to their May 1, 1942 positions. Like the Mizuho was at Sing for some reason. She was sunk May 2nd near Yokohoma and was in that port on May 1st. Most of the major ships were in the correct positions a couple of heavy cruisers were in the wrong Japanese ...

RE: Grand Campaign May 42

<t> Today I update the scenario for the expanded map. I'm saving it as Scenario 68 for my working copy. I changed Abadan, Aden, Subic Bay, Bruin and Shortlands. I ran the first few turns and so far so good. Does anyone know if the expanded map changed any other bases? I'm not sure how much work I ...

RE: japanese experimental aircraft

<t> Japan needed to get their Sam aircraft into production much earlier. I like there ME-262 look alike. The current game I'm playing I added some production and a couple of squadrons. Totally unrealistic, of course, as there was only two flying planes by the end of the war and one of those crashed ...

Panama Canal

Is there a way to modify the map to disable to Panama Canal?

It would make an interesting variation if the Japanese had attacked and disabled the Panama Canal. It would take much longer for shipping from the East Coast of the USA to get to the Pacific.

<t> Algerie - authorized in 1930, this vessel was the last and best French 'treaty' cruiser, and one of the most outstanding examples of the type in any navy. A radical departure from the widely criticized 'tin-clad' heavy cruisers, she was built in response to the Italian Zara class. Armor weight ...

Go ahead and modified the scripts. Its not real hard. I notice that it takes the AI a long time to attack Subic Bay. It will do so eventually.

DB with stronger Japan

<t> I started with the scenario I modified with the added battleships. Then increased Japan's forces some what as a stepping stone to help me play Japan (which has to be done near perfectly or you are toast very quickly). Play it if you like. The allied player will be somewhat more challenged. Note ...
