RE: Making Barbarossa "Gameable"?

<t> So - if a full free placement is not possible (and I don't think that would be a good idea, as things would get too random), would it be possible with the current engine to have something similar to AGEODs WW1 game?<br/>
<br/>
There you could choose one of three or four war plans before the ...

Upcoming releases?

<t> Just received my anniversary coupon and was wondering if it was worth holding off purchasing for some upcoming released within the next month?<br/>

Is there anything expected to arrive within the next weeks?<br/>

Couple of questions

<t> I am on the fence for this one, have been for quite a while, the sale now might be pushing me over it.<br/>
<br/>
This game seems pretty scenario oriented, is that right? I usually don't like to play scenarios which are not interlinked with each other, so I am more of a campaign/grand strategy ...

RE: Steam Summer Sale is coming this week!

<t> I have no problem paying full price for titles like WITW or WITE, especially as DLCs only provide this much content in a grand strategy game.<br/>
<br/>
I felt the initial prices for Panzer Corps and OOB were fair (OOB could have been €5 less, but oh well) and happily paid for all the DLCs and ...

RE: 7 Matrix Games for $10!

Does anyone have a comparison to other Humble Bundle sales with companys of similar size and stature?

Is 5000 units good? Mediocre? Bad? I hope this one is going well, already bought one as well.

RE: This game or Panzer Corps?

<t> What are the kind of games you usually like to play?<br/>
<br/>
OOB is a bit "deeper" than PC, but both are very nice games.<br/>
<br/>
OOB: Supply (very well done), front lines, encirclements, very good deployment system with command points, nicer graphics, more turns make it less of a ...

RE: Campaign scenario issues

<t> I for one have to say that I have the exact opposite feeling. <br/>
<br/>
I feel most of the scenarios are less of a puzzle than in Panzer General or stock Panzer Corps (the Mega Campaigns allow more freedom than the stock version). I am very happy with the time limits I have experienced so ...

<t> I have just fiddled with the first US campaign scenario without playing boot camp and have to say I am impressed. It seems all well thought out, well polished and a very, very good game.<br/>

RE: What classic wargame do you wish would be remade?

Makes me curious - why is there no plan for a SPWAW remake?

I know about all the different free versions of SP out there, but I bet it would be viable to do a modernised version of it.

RE: What classic wargame do you wish would be remade?

I am guessing this thread is being followed closely by Matrix.

Steel Panthers with modern resolution and a slightly optimized UI - I would pay 40-50 $ for it on day one.

Same goes for a modern version of Great Naval Battles.

Wargame with multiplayer campaign

<t> I have a good friend with which I like to engage in MP war games. Unfortunately it is hard to get him engaged in something like WITE or WITW.<br/>
<br/>
There don't seem to be many games with real MP campaigns there. We are looking for MP campaigns in which both sides carry over their losses ...

RE: Updated 1.08.01 Beta Now Available in the Members Club

<t> A friend of mine and me have just started a PBEM a couple of weeks ago. I am on the English 1.0.7.15 version, he has the German version (not really an English speaker) and has updated it to 1.0.7.13 or something (it did not fully update to 1.0.7.15, and idea why?).<br/>

RE: graphics

I loved HOI1 and HOI2, didn't like HOI3. A serious strategy game without NATO counters is a no buy for me. But that's why I think game developers should always provide both options - icons and NATO counters. This cannot take up too many resources.

RE: graphics

<t> I think games like WITW could do with small animations like in WITP:AE. Those are very, very nice and add a lot to the immersion. Some eye candy (and sounds) are really helpful. What I would also like for grognard games are some little screens or maybe even historic footage for say capturing ...

RE: Interested in buying but...

<t> First, let me say that I am happy to see that this game is turning out to be a success, because I have high hopes for the projected follow-ups. Personally, I have been priced out of this one, as the Western front in 43/44 is not THAT interesting to me (Bought WITE in its first week of release ...

Back after ~15 months, what has changed?

<t> I have had to take a break from this game for over a year and am back to playing it SP now, want to try my first MP campaign soon as well. I have never been a great player but won the GC41-45 on standard level as Germany and the SU. Here are a couple of questions I have, especially with so many ...
