RE: Download is a RAR file?

Are you running Windows? A number of downloadable tools will unpack RAR files. 7zip is free, at http://www.7-zip.org.

If you're running some other OS, then I don't know.

RE: Space Program Manager is updated to version 1.4.0!

UPDATE: I've gotten the Windows link to download successfully. The link address is pretty standard. Just change the "http://" header to "ftp://", and you're good to go.

RE: Space Program Manager is updated to version 1.4.0!

I get a 404 Error when I try to download the PC patch. Are you sure the link points to the correct location?

Anything for us poor Early Access folks who don't happen to like Steam very much? :)

RE: Space Program Manager Launch Contest Announced!

Okay. I tried clicking the trophy icon, and it had me enter a username and password. I used the ones from this site, even though I couldn't select the option to do so. I was connected to the PBEM server, and I couldn't tell whether I registered for the contest or not. Was I successful?

That seemed to do the trick -- the updater is running! Thank you very much for your support!

Unable to upgrade SPM

<r> I'm currently running 0.7.25 and would like to upgrade to 0.7.26.1. When I click on "Update SPM" in the opening dialog box, I get this error:<br/>

RE: Status update 20/06/2014

<t> This may not be the best place to say so, but thank you so much for developing a PBEM system. I like TBS games anyway -- I'd much rather try to out-think my opponent than out-twitch him or her -- but as someone far-removed geographically from lots of people he cares about, I'm deeply grateful ...

Thanks! I ran it with 0.7.16 installed, and things seem to be working well. Again, my gratitude for all the hard work on this game!

RE: SPM v. 0.7.17 is now available

<t> My apologies -- I'm not sure I understand. I have version 0.7.16 installed, and I think it was the first version I installed. Should I uninstall it, install 0.7.15, and somehow update it to 0.7.15.1 before attempting to upgrade to 0.7.17?<br/>

RE: while ive been waiting..

<r> You reminded me about the first time I tested my Bop lander -- in orbit around Minmus, a comet-like body that is in far orbit around the Kerbal home world (Kerbin).<br/>
<br/>
Calling it a "lander" is a bit of a stretch; it consisted of nothing but a probe controller, a docking clamp ...

RE: while ive been waiting..

<t> Alt-right clicking on a stage will bring up a small context menu. Do that on both stages where you want the fuel transfer to take place. Click "Out" on the stage where you want the fuel/oxidizer to leave, and click "In" on the stage where you want the fuel/oxidizer to enter. You might need to ...

<r> KSP is <I><s></s>amazing<e></e></I>. I've had the registered copy for nearly a year and a half now, getting updates the whole way. It's easily the best $15 I've ever spent on a computer game (though I have high hopes for Space Program Manager as well).<br/>

Yeah, I saw it, though I wish I could get a closer look. :) And I appreciate your video about lunar spacesuits, too.

RE: A pic for us space mission dreamers

<t> I'm just interested in spacesuits generally, so recognizing the Apollo model was easy. I have a long-term project to make a "next generation" spacesuit as a Halloween costume; the idea is to make a suit for an asteroid miner in the near future. It's kind of part spacesuit, part rock-climbing ...

<r>
<QUOTE><s>
</s>The "Neptone" is a typo, yes. This screen is a concept we did with the UI artist, but we're planning to replace the legends and use some other way to identify the planets. So don't worry, I don't think it's going to make it into the final game (or even the beta version ...

RE: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Teasing Screens and Video

Stunning. Absolutely stunning.

Stupid, simple question with a potentially equally simple answer, though: In the numbered list in Picture #2, why is Neptune (Neptone?) listed before Uranus?

EDIT: Fixed some formatting

RE: Couple of quick questions

<r> I can't describe how excited I am about this. I have a soft spot for Gemini, and have long wondered what some of the lunar Gemini plans might have yielded. This is amazing work. Even as greedy as I am to get my hands on this, though, I'll try to encourage you to take your time and get this right ...
