Re: Strategic Command: American Civil War - Franco Prussian War free update

Cool DLC !

I played and won as the French player, but I got ripped off by the British who sold me an artillery piece (I paid 50 for 6 turns, expected delivery in Orleans) but never delivered it. Is it a feature or a bug?

Weird, Gambetta left Paris on a balloon to reach Orléans to push the fighting ...

RE: Tambov FSB bug ?

<t> yes, in the meantime I had almost managed to send my southern PZ Army to the center Front when the Soviets counterattacked down towards Rostov. I had to send my PZ Army down south again to keep Rostov and reestablish a link with a cut off army further south East.<br/>

Tambov FSB bug ?

<t> Playing as German, I took Rostov and decided to switch my southern Panzer Division to the Center Theatre of operation.<br/>
Alas, the Southern FSB is very far south, I need to move it north in order to accompany the panzer move. I'm given the possibility in the reports texts to move the FSB to ...

RE: Something isn't right

But sometimes, while playing German and having German troops just next to enemy fortifications for a while, you get a message saying that the pioneers damaged them. Maybe it's only the field fortifications that are reduced?

RE: Future of DC series

<t> I would love to see the 1942 campaign translated to DC3 Barbarossa style. The whole front, not the DC2 hyper detailed version, which I did not like so much. With an option to either start from fresh (historic) or upload the results of January 1942 in DC3.<br/>

If necessary, abstract ...

RE: Need advice for playing as the Russians

<t> I'm glad to say that despite horrible losses and the great weather that the Germans enjoyed till early November 41, I won a decisive victory on February 1st, 1942.<br/>

Mud was a respite, then the cold started to produce malus (-20%, then -30%) on the German fighting ability. Strange ...

RE: Need advice for playing as the Russians

I'm playing with version 1.03p, I updated before launching the game.

I'm playing Russian, so maybe our communist forecast is more precise ? As was announced (with 101% certainty!), mud came on November 1st.

Flash update, today October 28th, still no mud!!! the forecast for next turn "rain affecting mobile operations" is 101% !!
Am I the unluckiest Russian player of all ? Did I really throw a die at 99% chance to win and failed ???

RE: Need advice for playing as the Russians

<t> It's now October 24th, I'm still holding, the North Front is safe (big forest there), the Center is more or less OK (I'm still holding the blown bridge between Smolensk and Vyazma, and the forest in front of Bryansk), the South is in disarray (I held Odessa till mid October but then the German ...

RE: some towns are not garrisonable ?

and to add to my worries, I cannot build fortifications in a muddy hex, but due to rasputitsa (which is a blessing) I cannot build fortifications anywhere!
This also is not mentioned on the card or the manual...

some towns are not garrisonable ?

I discovered that I cannot raise minor garrison in the far south (beyond Rostov) or east (Tambov for example). I could not find any reference to this in the manual or the forum. OK, my soviet play is quite poor but I would like to stop the Germans somewhere.
