Re: Best intro scenario

Hi, I would recommend 1916 The Big Push as it is purely an infantry and artillery battle, plus a bit of cavalry too.

Re: Iraq coup oddity

I think there would have to be a reason for a coup in Iraq, as the government of the time were pro-British. Moving away from the British is one thing, entering the war is another.

The idea of Iraq swinging towards the Axis in response to Axis advances is to represent a change in mood there ...

Re: Iraq coup oddity

Actually, on digging into the scripts more, could it not simply be that your opponent decided not to launch Operation Sabine?

It's not really possible for them to capture Cairo without them getting 1-2 units within 7 hexes of the Suez Canal (which is one of the conditions for DE 107 to fire).

And ...

Re: Neue Mod/Scenario Rise of Axis (1939)

Guten Tag,

:o :o :o :o :o :o

Würde mich über Hilfe freuen ...

Re: Iraq coup oddity

We can change the trigger, having it fire if Axis units are in certain locations, e.g. Cairo, Jerusalem... and I am open to suggestions.

Re: Marco Polo Stalemate

Are you able to send me a saved turn so we can take a look?

You should be able to find the save here:
%HOMEPATH%\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War in the Pacific\Save

If you can zip it up and email it to me at: bill.runacre@furysoftware.com

Thanks.

Re: Russian Civil War game balance

One of the oddities about the way that Strength scripts work is that they fire if a unit is within a certain specified range of a given hex, rather than if a unit is beyond a specified range of a given hex. I have often wanted to be able to write Strength scripts that kick in if a unit gets too ...

Btw, is the fix to the pearl harbor fleet spawn save game compatible?
Yes it should be.
just realized I didn't specify it enough, does that include ongoing PBEM games or just singleplayer?
No need to specify, if one can continue, all can continue!

Re: Another Bug or Unintended Consequences?

Russia and Japan are suddenly at war with each other without any DoW by either player.

Strange so many random things seem to be not WAD this patch.

If the USSR surrenders then Japan will automatically have a belligerent status with the USSR, so that its units can enter former Soviet territory ...

Re: Another Bug or Unintended Consequences?

Personally I think I'd still prefer to see an attack on the UK as an attack on India if it's already mobilised. India is at war with Germany due to its mobilisation. Why not Japan as well?

You might want to be careful what you wish for XD the reason I did not declare war on India is because ...

Re: Surrender of a major power

There has been no change in the engine, the capital moves (in engine terms) when the UK surrenders, which means the UK doesn't actually surrender (in game terms) due to the script moving its capital.

I hope that's clearer?

Or try removing the "\error" from the end, just in case the game crashed without creating an error folder.

Have you input the path I gave, pointing to your Documents area?

It's not the same as where the game itself is installed.

Re: Surrender of a major power

This is the turn the capital, London in this case, has fallen. Manchester and Edinburgh are Axis controlled.

Does the UK check for surrender BEFORE moving the capital to Toronto?

I did a similar test in June, see post about 3 up thread, and that was the way it appeared to be working. If ...

Re: Another Bug or Unintended Consequences?

another thing I noticed in this game is that the Okamura HQ, which starts in Haikou, can command 1 unit less than the other Japanese HQs. At no C&C researched, it could command only 4 units, and with lvl 1 C&C, it can command 5, while all other HQs can command one more.

I'm playing vs Dalby so it ...
