Re: Question for Bill about supply and major cities

1) Supply would be far more variable across the map, with units potentially being out of supply or in low supply.

2) No.

I'm not really sure why you're thinking of doing this, as having hidden resources in each hex giving full supply to their occupants was a great idea to make these battles work?

Re: Question about accuracy loss settings (in editor)

I believe that base range = the range set in the Combat Target Values, therefore the accuracy loss would apply to any research that increases the range of these units.

Re: New Nato Counters coming soon

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

When I extract "Kirk23 World War 1 Nato Counters.zip" into the \mods folder I get this:

edit: I'm guessing from your config that I should make a folder called 'Kirk23 World War 1 Nato Counters' within \mods and select that. I'll try it now. Thanks.

Re: Icarus Mod, Version 6 in Preliminary Release

I redid them and got the same error. The .crn downloads as a folder unlike Version 7 which is a Zip file. I don't know how to put a folder into the Campaign whereas I unzip Version 7 right into WWI Campaigns. What I've been doing is turning the .cgn folder into a Zip file then unzipping that into ...

Re: Colonial Empires

Why are certain colonial possessions treated as independent nations. If I try to ally with Portugal, I do not get access to Timor, East and West Africa. Why is Hong Kong, Solomons etc not under British control from the start? Is it to cater to Japanese play. I suppose the same is true for ...

Very odd. You could always try the site in a different browser to see if that helps.

Re: What's going on with supply/upgrades in Turkey

Well it is realistic that the Soviets and WAllies are non-cooperating allies. Ideologically incompatible.

Russia yes I can see that. Turkey no I don't see that. In fact they are even members of NATO today and if they had joined they would have been cooperating allies. In fact they did DOW ...

Re: Movement Oddity

Very hard to tell from this, e.g. Have you changed any relevant settings in your mod, what are the movement penalties of the terrain, and is there mud present?

Perhaps showing the supply levels for the area too might help.

You can amend the strike range of all units, so try it out and see if it works for you.

Re: What's going on with supply/upgrades in Turkey

Turkey can be upgraded with Soviet tech, so it all depends on if the USSR has researched the relevant upgrades, and whether it has the MPPs to spare.

Re: Briey Mine Ops Movement

The railway doesn't run from Luxembourg directly to Briey, but via the northernmost hex of the Maginot Line, so those French defenders will have to be removed before you can operate any further west.

You're able to deploy at Briey because the operating ends at Luxembourg, and deployment is allowed ...

Re: Russian rail hubs and values based on German attacks

The effect of scorched earth is not affected by the unit (if any) that was on the resource before it was lost.

However, a stubborn defence may see the resource strength reduce due to the besieging mechanism, especially if it is cut off before it is taken, which will actually hinder Axis supply more ...

Re: Attack on Persia by Russia

Assuming you're playing the 1914 Call to Arms campaign, there is a script to deploy one Russian Corps at Baku in August, but this is standard. There are no scripts to deploy Russian units in Baku should Russia declare war on Persia.

There are also some scripts to deploy further Corps and a HQ in ...

Can you explain a bit more, e.g. are these Russian units, and where have they deployed?

What is the status of the Ottoman Empire, and has that changed recently?
