Scout engaging tanks

I'm constantly losing scouts because they engage tanks with their .50 cal machine guns... Shouldn't they try to avoid any fight since they are supposed to observe and report? Why on earth would you fire on a tank from 2km with .50 cals...

This is basicly a much reduced version of a huge scenario that included the whole Northern Fleet (including air defence force) + Norwegian AF + an invasion mission + tons of NATO aircraft and ships + neutral nations. It had too much units so it was basicly unplayable for me [:D]

Hi!

I created this scenario and I'd like to get some feedback. You are in command of 12 soviet subs and your mission is to sneak past the GIUK gap and sink an american CVBG.

Tell me what you think and how can I improve it

Green rings& ASW helis

Question 1: what are those thick green dim rings around naval vessels?
Question 2: how do you take advantage of convergence zones (from a subs and ships perspective)
Question 3: Why ASW helis fly 3800m above sea when on ASW patrol? Arent they supposed to fly as low as possible?

Have you guys considered going into that direction? I think you would bring the game closer to a lot of players. A free to play with optional premium subscription is the most successful business model in the gaming industry right now. Whats your though about it?

Lets say the enemy is too weak fight its way out and there is nobody to help them. I just don't want them to sneak out of the pocket. Do you need to put a unit in every hex otherwise they sneak out through holes in the line?

Noob question: When is a pocket considered rock solid? Do you need to place a unit in every hex around the pocket (eg like on the AGS screenshot east of Rovno)? Is it enough to have a ZOC around them and a unit in every other hex? Or just a ZOC without units?
