RE: Eyefinity

Old thread, but I wanted to make sure this issue has been fixed before buying the game on steam.

RE: scenario based on a book: copyright issue?

<t> Copyright only protects the expression of the idea. Unless to are copying text from a book verbatim in your scenario descriptions, there is no copyright protection on ideas. That would be the realm of patents. Also, titles and characters are not copyrightable. That would be covered by trademarks ...

RE: CMANO on Dell Venue 8 Pro - Yes!

<t> Nothing more to say that hasn't already been mentions, really. Large scenarios may slow down, due to CPU bottleneck. The 2GB of memory seems to be more than enough. Graphics horsepower is not stressed. There is at least one command that can't be issued with touch controls- Rename. There may be ...

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>ORIGINAL: Sunburn<br/>

There is another reported aspect of LRASM's AI which is very interesting, the ability to autonomously (not via pre-set waypoints) route around pop-up threats. This is not currently modeled in Command but we'd like to add it at some point in the ...

These do not not display correctly in Open Office. Shows the keyboard layout, but not your text overlay on them.

RE: The Love that didn´t last....

<t> @Kallekula - Most of your comments and problems seem to come from a complete lack on knowledge of the game. Have you spent time here reading the threads, or reading the manual cover to cover? I'd sure hate for you to be wasting Mike's and the rest time chasing "problems" caused by user error and ...

RE: CWDB Missing

<t> A whole-home surge suppressor is much more effective than the power strip variety, and they are *easy* to install in your main fuse box, and under $200 for the good ones. Turn off the main breaker and you can install one in about 15 minutes. Also, make sure your home really has a ground to earth ...

RE: CMANO on Dell Venue 8 Pro - Yes!

<r> I have not tried CMANO yet, but the Venue and the T100 are performance equivalents. The dell has slightly faster clock speed, but the ASUS has faster/higher bandwidth memory. The T100 has a cheaper build quality, but it's still fine IMO, especially at the price. Wait around for a sale if you can ...

Don't forget about the 10" ASUS T100 with included keyboard dock. Was selling all holiday long at the $300-$350 price range. I hadn't yet tried CMANO on it yet, but I will now!

RE: 1/2 or 1/4 second pulse time?

Didn't I read at 1:1 time compression, the underlying calculations are already being computed at 1/10 second resolution? Seems like adding 0.1/1 compression would be trivial if that's the case.

RE: Sounds

I found the sound to be insanely loud. In fast some of the sound MP3 files are being driven to digital clipping. I used the free MP3Gain to drop the volume on all sound files by -12dB without the quality lose of re-encoding them. Much happier with the sounds now.

When you run the .NET 4.5 installer under Win8, it will abort out saying 4.5 is already part of the OS.
