RE: noobie question

<t> You are 100% correct that I had that function unchecked. I replayed the tut and the sub moved as I moved the waypoint for direction.<br/>
I was simply wondering if there is a different color for a targeting vector. That's all. Just one of many details that I am learning about that you helped ...

RE: noobie question

<t> Hi Colonel,<br/>
My sub is assigned to an ASuW patrol. I have not found anything about these vectors in the manual yet....still looking. With that said, it could very well be a targeting vector since it was pointing at the neutral target. I don't know the color of a targeting vector though.<br ...

[NON-ISSUE] velocity vector issue?

I am fairly new to CMANO. I am working through the sub training tut. The little blue line extending from my unit does not change regardless of my heading. 1. Is the "blue line" a velocity vector as I have been told? 2. Should it change as heading changes?
Thanks.

RE: noobie question

Thanks. OK then; the velocity vector should change as the sub changes direction, correct? The data block shows the heading changing but the vector stays fixed. The vector actually stays "pointed" at the target regardless of which direction the sub is headed. What am I missing here?

noobie question

What is the little line extending out from a unit? I first thought it indicated the direction of travel. But that doesn't seem to be the case with a sub.
Thanks for the help. More questions to come I'm sure.

OFor red & blue boxes

It's me again.
From time to time I am seeing red & blue boxes on an OpFor piece. I just can't find out from the manual what it stands for OR it's implication for my forces. BTW, there are "+" marks and numbers as I recall.
Thanks.

RE: HQs, Stacks & penalties, etc

Thanks to you all, I lasted 12 full turns this time before I was encircled and forced to surrender. I can see where sub HQs could help in combat readiness and power, where the front gets stretched out. So, another day, another game.

I am definately a slow learner. One of my issues is not being able to quickly and easily find answers I'm looking for. So I take the lazy route and ask all of you vets. Thank you and the "gods of gaming" that you are willing to help and share.

Re:SFT; I was using the wrong terminology. I was referring to the "counter" in calling it SFT. Thanks for the correction.
