[NON-ISSUE] velocity vector issue?

I am fairly new to CMANO. I am working through the sub training tut. The little blue line extending from my unit does not change regardless of my heading. 1. Is the "blue line" a velocity vector as I have been told? 2. Should it change as heading changes?

The velocity vectors work fine. Your submarine is on an attack run and you have "ignore plotted course on attack" checked-off in the ROE settings for theunit. If you speed up the game, you'll see that the sub is on the vector shown, but not on its plotted course.
