Answered my own question.

Sorry I know this is possible but I can't remember how to set it. I'd like the game to
pause after each combat action so I can read the damage reports that go way too fast
on the default setting. Does anybody know where this is set?

I would like to know this as well. Also where these various patches are located in 2024.

Ukraine wins by not losing. Which is the current state of affairs.

I can vouch that the AI is at a minimum serviceable.
It's capable of kicking my sorry a$$ routinely.
