RE: Turns 69-70: 21 October – 3 November 1944

<t> Most informative and entertaining indeed. As one of the many (I suspect) that lurk in the corridors of this forum and eavesdrop on you guys talking by the virtual water cooler this is a great read, and a whole lot more fun than sitting down and reading the manual from cover to cover, given that ...

<r> Shame you can't get a ute/pickup. I have a Ford Ranger (not the U.S. pickup but the Australian designed one, also sold as a Mazda BT-50. They're so good the Brit military bought them:- <URL url="http://www.carsguide.com.au/car-news/australian-developed-ford-ranger-joins-uk-military-23033 ...

Who wouldn't want a passport for Gabon. Long have I dreamed of escaping Australia for a better life in sub-Saharan Africa. I understand everyone in Nigeria is a prince too.

I'm going to guess these passports will only work at dot bases. Anywhere the head honcho doesn't wear a headdress of bird of paradise feathers will likely notice they're printed on toilet paper.

<r> Well, the warhead wouldn't weigh more than a couple of kilos. If a shaped charge penetrates it's very bad news for the crew and/or internals.<br/>

Came across a video of a modern tank being hit by one, about a minute in. Not Pretty, spectacular actually in a grim way:-<br/>

<t> They're not very fast you know, with a cruise speed in Wikipedia of 58mph, and I suspect faced with any sort of serious headwind would be able to make very little progress at all. Perhaps the designers have taken into account that much of the time that will have been the case? It would certainly ...

<t> Quite right LST, Perth is about 10 miles up river from Fremantle and in those days would have been quite separate though today the urban sprawl has filled up the whole area. The 'Fremantle fort' is actually an amalgam of different batteries that were around there at the time, some on the coast ...

You could model USO shows by training transport planes for an 'Entertainment' skill and then 'Bomb' your own troops? Drop some Bob Hopes on them.

RE: Noob question

<t> That's a pity about appropriate command structure being irrelevant. Personally I'd prefer if incorrect HQs could give some support but not as much as the correct ones. As it stands atm there's little incentive to make an effort to use the correct ones. A relatively minor complaint given the ...

<t> Nothing wrong with the Chinese fighters if you can use them where the Japanese player wants to strike past escort range of his fighters. I have 2 squadrons of I-15s and one of I-16s, having disbanded most of the rest to get those filled up. One of the I-15 squadrons isn't seeing any action but ...

<t> Well, as a follow up.......after spending an inordinately long time doing China's 1st and everybody else's 2nd move I've decided to blitz it along a bit to see what happens. That may be so but since it's only turn 1 I'm already thinking of firing up scen 2 for a proper challenge. The AI's Pearl Harbour was laughable, I didn't even lose a BB.

RE: Justice for Nathan Bedford Forrest black cavalrymen.

The clip mentions 20% of his escort company being black, not 20% of his entire force. How is Aegod supposed to show that 20% of his escort company was Black in-game?
