Re: [B1676] several bugs in strike plan with iron bombs loadout

OK, I installed the public beta, updated the scenario into the latest DB
Issue #2 and #3 are fixed, but #1 is still there. And now everyone in the group can release the bomb at IP point

[B1676] several bugs in strike plan with iron bombs loadout

There are 3 different bugs in this testing scenario

1, flight leader can release his iron bomb payload, fire his cannon as soon as the flight reach IP point. even the flight is 10nm away from the target

2, in the default flight line formation, only the flight ...

2, Smoke. Right now the non-thermal image units can also benefit from smoke screen, it cannot see/fire through but it can do so when hiding under the smoke. The LOS will suffer a 20% reduction but will block the return fire from the non-TI equip units. This test can be easily setup, put a co. T ...

1) that only works in CM if you purposely play a certain way. Click off a unit and you instantly complete all spotting reports and the complex spot reporting goes away for the player. Steel Beasts, I think, does a better job of representing reporting and radio traffic.

The beauty of the CM ...

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

I'm playing a scenario whereby the designer has a sub set at 381 feet and creeping along at 5 kts, with no known targets in its path.

A friendly satellite passes over and positively identifies a group of ships as being the enemy, and even identifies each by name.

In the game, the information is ...

Learned an important lesson
F-35 Adir is almost immune to S-300PMU2 (SA-20B) . When F-35's Jammer function as an OECM it can prevent a lock-on even at <10nm distance from SA-20B site.
It is the Iranian domestically produced SAM system like Joshan and Tabas that F-35 need to worry about. Their ...

Re: A tactic in Sea Power...real or bullshit?

Hammer and anvil. You can use the same tactic in CMO, especially if you just have to bully the AI.
Assuming you have a fast but noise nuk boat, and a slow but quiet diesel-electric boat. Fast Nuke can fire torp at max range then immediately change its position running away at max speed. In old ...

My grandpa joined the ROC's Chinese National Revolutionary Army in 1941. He almost ended up being sent with the ill-fated Chinese Expeditionary Force to fight in Burma. Just before his unit set out, he was transferred to the ROC Air Force, since he had not yet completed his college degree.

Re: Pakistan shot down an Indian Rafale from ~200 km using a Chinese PL-15 missile

Where is this 200km kill claim coming from?

I remember we saw Pakistan official claimed that they began to fire missiles at about 180km (this is from my memory, cannot find the source now). It didn't confirm such long range fire achieved a kill.

It is likely a harassment/suppressing fire. And it ...

Re: How to determine the optimal altitude for agility (without penalties) for dogfight tactics in CMO

A test is welcomed, please let us know what you found out

If I remember correctly, in CMO , agility only affects the final POH check. The reduction in agility follows a linear function. Take the F-14 as an example: its maximum agility is 4. When conducting the final POH check at or below 6,000 ft ...
