Weird estimated arrival times in Tournament game

Post by DIVM »

I'm experimenting really weird estimated arrival time bugs in the latest scenario of the Tournament.

At first I thought it was because of the transition night-to-day, but it is happening also when fully in daytime. It looks a lot like the estimated time when giving the build bridge order in chained commands. It would show the right time during setup, changed to a different time when starting the series of orders, and end up arriving (I believe) at the correct time estimated during the setup.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes. This is a known issue, not very visible unless you build bridges, where the time estimate of subsequent orders 'wobbles' when moving along the path, with the initial estimate being a good estimate and subsequent values less so.
We don't have a fix yet.

Hi William. It looks like the same bug, but I'm not building any bridges in this scenario. Not sure what's the cause.

Correct. It seems to be the very same issue when multiple waypoints. It usually changes to a much longer or later ETA, and often arrive earlier, sometimes even at the original ETA. It's very confusing, annoying (hard to plan coordinated movements) and I can't figure out how it starts (had all previous PBEM working fine).
