RE: turn speed

Thanks Hubert, that scratches the itch. I do have the latest SC.

It's a big campaign as you say. So far quite enjoyable.

"italian forces surrender in east africa"

Amusingly, this popup occurred on the same turn that I took Cairo and Egypt surrendered.

I'm pretty sure it should not appear when the north african campaign is going well for the Axis.

Heavy tanks next to Paris?

Is that realistic in the opening phase of the war? I was under the general impression that France did not have heavies, and certainly Germany can't even develop them until a fixed time later on.

It's killing my regular tanks.

RE: Suggestions thread

Declaration of War from the subject' capital. Instead of clicking in to the war menu, just right-click on the target capital (say, Denmark), and declare war. Faster and slicker.

runs fine on a Surface 3

I thought the devs would be interested to know that version ...08... runs fine on a Microsoft Surface 3 (not pro). it's playable in pure tablet mode, although a mouse / touchpad makes it easier.

This is not a fast machine, so I'm impressed that SC is working.

I've had a ton of crashes in the v1.00.07. version, have just sent a full dump and turn to hubert. I'm going to hold off further testing, as I'm getting only one or two turns crash-free.

can Iraq be saved?

By the time, as Axis, I am able to operate air units to Iraq, two british corp are next to bagdad, kill the garrison and occupy it. No chance at all - or is there?

Thoughts? Is it even desirable to try, historically?
