<t> Didn't work for me. Windows 8.1 on Parallels on Macbook Pro, so not supported configuration. Oh well.<br/> <br/> Edit: I played with some network settings and it told me I had the latest version - furthest I've managed to go so far, so that's promising! For posterity I'm using "Bridged" mode wit...

<t> Both sides are supposed to be snow or blizzard to allow movement or attacking across the lake hex side. It's in Rule 8.2.9 Terrain in the rules as coded, page 31. <br/> <br/> "Lake hex sides are frozen if the hex on each side of the hex side is in snow or blizzard."<br/> <br/> If that's not the ...

<t> I guess my question is how best to notify someone when the server is down? I have seen the problems of not being able to fill in the list of game requests about half the time I try to log in. This feels too frequent. <br/> <br/> While some downtime for maintenance is to be expected, it should be...

RE: USE chits

<r> The group I play with face to face goes to extremes to delay or speed up US Entry. For example, in my current game, The CW and Italy were at peace for all of 1941 - the Italians were waiting for the US to come in to join the war. This isn't my style - just how my group plays.<br/> <QUOTE><s>[quo...

Saved setups only apply to named units or generic units. It's great for the CW navy and convoy points.

Switching to private forum crash

<t> Sorry, I don't have a trace for you, but I've twice now closed a game in progress (after playing an impulse, if it matters), and then using the menu to close the game, then opening the net play forums, I get a crash. I'll work on getting a bug report.txt to attach, but thought I should report it...

<t> You can enter the mailto in your browser actually. Each time, I'm prompted to allow the program access, but I don't get that with MWiF - it just errors out. I tried it connecting to both Parallels (and so to my mac mail) and to the mail program with Windows 8.1.<br/> <br/> What is the expected b...

RE: Isolated/Out of Supply

Eventually it will matter for the "isolated reorganization" optional rule - units will not be able to reorganize if they are isolated with that option on. It may have other small meanings, but that is the biggest one.

rogerdubbs v forbesclan

<r> I began what is for me my first experience with Netplay today. It got off to a rocky start, with troubles in the net play server (reported separately) delaying the start by a couple of hours, leaving maybe an hour to play. I was originally going to set optionals, forbes was going to veto and I w...

<r> I can't seem to do normal crash reports. I get a message with the bug report and everything, but it tells me I don't have an associated email program. But I do - I went to the trouble of hooking up Windows 8's default Mail application to my mail. I've also tried switching it to go through the Ma...

Private WiF NetPlay Forum

Is anyone else having difficulty accessing the Private WiF NetPlay Forum? I tried to log on tonight, and the first time I saw someone else there, but couldn't see any of the games. Now I see nobody else and can't access games.

I had previously been able to access and post.

I was surprised to see intelligence on the list of rules to implement (and not surprised to see it wasn't) for this exact reason - too much interruption of the sequence of play.
