Re: Rising Sun crashes consistently

I tried playing the both the Japanese and Allies manually for the 4th and 5th turns. This allowed me to clear out the beaches fully. I am now back to Allied AI and it is working perfectly.

Thanks for the tip, it worked!

Re: Rising Sun crashes consistently

Thanks for confirming Jason.

You've given me a hint however, as I think you might be right about the AI struggling with the beach congestion. I am going to play both sides for a turn or so, just to get the beaches cleared of troops and transports. And then switch back to Allied AI control and see ...

Re: Rising Sun crashes consistently

When I try to drag and drop the battle.btl file to the message window, I get the message "Invalid file extension: battle.btl"

Is there another file I could attach?

What files do you need? Just the battle.btl or something else?

Thanks!

Rising Sun crashes consistently

Hi all...

Whenever I play the Rising Sun scenario, "The Main Event", and take the Japanese side (American is computer with fog-of-war), it always crashes toward the end of the American 4th turn. No optional rules are being used and I have tried this on several computers. It happens with versions 2 ...

RE: Can't run after 2.02 Update

Thanks Scud, that totally worked. I downloaded vcredist_x64.exe from Microsoft's site and installed it. Now everything is working.

I wonder why I never had to do that previously. I've probably installed on at least 6 or 7 different machines (or more) over the years.

RE: v04.02.00.00 Beta Available Now!

Hi all....

I am getting a Chrome security warning when I try to download the patch, "...can't be downloaded securely". Never had this with a Matrix game update previously.

RE: Looking for a West Front Scenario

Thanks very much for the files!

I've copied the four files to the West Front file folder, however when I pick the scenario it crashes while trying to load the map. I am using 2.02 as well.

Looking for a West Front Scenario

<t> <br/>
Hi all, I noticed on the theblitz website there's a West Front scenario listed that I'd like to try, but can't find it anywhere - Defending the Dyle. The site says it's a "stock" scenario which I think means it came with one of the game distributions and wasn't user created.<br/>

RE: Unable to access Seeking Opponent database

Contacted Matrix support and after a number of attempts to diagnose the issue, it was recommended to uninstall and re-install the game.

That worked.

Same problem here - game hangs on startup.

No issues prior to applying the latest patch, so something is not right with the patch.

RE: Unable to access Seeking Opponent database

Thanks Paul. The game has only ever been installed once, so there's only one place the file could be.

I've tried a multitude of username/password combinations in the file to no avail. I guess Matrix tech support is the only choice.

My NetPlayRegistration.txt file has my game's serial number in it. However my NetPlayReg.txt file was empty, even though I filled out the form that asked for a username, etc when I first tried to access the forum<br/>
