RE: Disable artillery animation

<r> Overall I like the game, but I can safely conclude the number one issue is time per scenario. Please continue to add options and features that speed up the game. The artillery animation is a huge one. Maybe also let some of the attack animations and kill text "linger" while still allowing quick ...

Disable artillery animation

<t> Is this possible? After 14 hours with the game I have everything running nearly as fast as possible, but I still spend a lot of my time watching the artillery animation play out. I can disable the kill animation (which is the best part) but not the initial bombs falling. <br/>

Dealing with Soviet tanks

<t> I thought I remember reading a post on here about how best to deal with Soviet tanks in terms of ranges. What are the general rules, aside from good cover and surprise? Do I want my NATO tanks to be at short range or long range? Always screening and moving? Aside from artillery's usual ...

<t> I had some trouble with this mission using the Limited Staff rule until I set up killzones on either side of the city. All the infantry huddled around the NE bridge in Hameln (all bridges blown of course) and the tanks held position in the forest hills south of Holtensen.<br/>

I also find it unhelpful to be told to go read books on Cold War strategy and tactics (although I often do it anyway out of interest). I'm not commanding a real brigade in the Cold War, I'm playing a video game and the game is a system of rules ...

<t> Definitely single player. New game start vs. save game reload is a good question. I want to say it was the former. In any case, I completely went through the orders phase then hit the start button before the sequence of events began.<br/>

It also appears that after I click pause/restart a few times, the FPRS application enters an unstable state. For example, I can click on all the window tabs, but the map zoom level won't change, I can't scroll it, etc.

Turn resolution breaks after pause/restart

RE: 2.06beta release candidate

I will purchase the game immediately if a new "beta" patch shows up on your website. Just saying.

BTW, the way you phrased your original post is a little odd. I sincerely hope Matrix isn't holding the deployment of a videogame patch to slot it into a product release schedule.
