As far as i remember: select exploration ship -> right click on star system -> explore -> this system

If something is unexplored in this system exploration ship should do it then go idle (then u can turn it back to auto with "a").

I have the same problem with provided link and i can't download the mod. Really want to give it a try so if there's option for second mirror for download it will make IMO lot of other people also happy <E>:)</E><br/>
